What I like best is the cover. It feels like silk. I don't know how anyone would describe this as like leather. Everything about it says luxury. I prefer cream colored paper over blinding white. And the paper texture is super smooth. The metallic inner covers just add to the effect. Exceeded my expectations. I'm just about ready to get a second one. Highly recommend.

The silver version, while some think that the thinner cover is a setback, I think it's amazing. I hope they don't discontinue the silver one. The paper is smooth and takes all of my FP pens and inks perfectly. You can't go wrong with clairefontaine paper - combined with this beautiful brushed silver cover - it's spectacular!

First the things that I love about this journal. I love the color. This journal has by very favorite paper made by Clairefontaine, 90g ivory brushed vellum paper. Smooth and beautiful. Fountain pen glide over the paper. I like the pocket on the inside back cover too. I like that the 1st and last page of the journal are silver. Very cool. I love that the cover has room at the spine, it is rounded and you can see light through it. What is nice about this spine is that this journal will lay flat when opened. You could be on the first few pages and it lays out flat, in the middle it is flat, at the end of the journal and it is flat. I like to write in a flat book.Now for what I don't like. The cover over all feels thinner than my orange Rhodia webnotebook of the same size. Both books are the same price and size. I think that the orange journal had thicker or stiffer board inside of the outside layer. The silver final layer on the cover has a slight rubber feel. The orange Rhodia journal is more spongy. The silver cover outside layer just doesn't have that substantial feel. I like the covering material a lot better on the orange webnotebook so much better. This is why I gave 3 stars. The covering material and cover thickness seem less than what I expected when I bought this journal.
