Return Policy

Read and agree: By submitting a return, you affirm that you have read and agree to our return policies. You can start a return via our Return Portal.

You have 30 days to request and return items, starting from the day you placed the order. We request that returns be sent back to us as soon as possible after approval; if you are close to the end of the 30 days please try to ship them to us as soon as you can. There are no fees for returns, but we retain the right to impose a fee not exceeding 10% of the refund amount for processing and cleaning, or if the return is missing components; in this instance you will be notified before the return is processed.

We only provide a prepaid return label for defective or items damaged in transit. If your return is not defective, damaged, or our mistake, it is considered preferential and you will be responsible for the cost of shipping the item back to us. If you choose ‚Äúdefective‚ÄĚ in the return request, we will likely reach out to you about the item for more information. We do not offer exchanges for preferential items at this time. Please include the RMA number in or on the return parcel.

You will have the option to choose a Goulet Pens gift card or a refund to the original payment method when you return. Gift cards are issued once the return is processed. Gift cards will be sent via email immediately after the return is processed, whereas a refund to the original payment method will be dependent on your bank. It may take up to 10 business days to process your return after reception.

We do not provide prepaid return labels for any return coming from outside of the US. If your item is defective, we will refund your shipping costs, up to the original shipping amount you paid to receive the order. Exchange rates are locked in for 30 days after purchase. Any import duties, customs fees, or VAT will not be refunded for returned items.

Refunds for initial shipping costs paid by the customer are at the discretion of the Goulet Pen Company. 

We do not accept preference-based returns on the following types of items: items purchased from the Bottom Shelf, gift cards, ink samples, used notebooks, used inks, or individual items from package sets. We do not accept preference-based returns on Namiki pens or Bespoke Sailor pens if they have been inked up.

We do not accept returns of items damaged by the user, or by improper use of the item.

The Goulet Pen Company retains the right to deny any return for any reason. Returns sent to us outside of the 30-day period, without approval from Customer Service, will be returned to the sender.
