Noodler's Gruene Cactus Eel (3oz Bottled Ink) is rated 4.5918 out of 5 by 49.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another nice Eel Ink! I have tried the Turquoise Eel and this ink so far in the Noodler's American Eel line. I like both inks. I put this in my Lamy 2000 with a medium nib. I had no skipping or flow problems with this ink. The color reminds me of a grass green. A green that is more on the yellow side than the blue side. I get nice shading with this ink. It took between ten and 20 seconds to dry on Staple's Arc paper (a fountain pen friendly paper). On absorbent paper this ink performs well. It has virtually no feathering or bleed through. I am considering getting a full bottle of this ink so I can try it in a Noodler's Ahab and flex with ink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I absolutely adore this green! I wanted a green ink, and was really unsure of which direction to go. I love most greens, and am drawn the the 'yellower' type greens, but, this was a lubricating ink which is a plus for me, even though I am not using it in a piston style pen right now. If you have read some of my other reviews, you will see I am OCD when it comes to matching things. So, I bought the Noodler's green ebonite pen from 'subbes' and wanted to put the green ink in this one. It works very well. Awesome pen by the way. Great ink. Nice shade of 'green-green'. Flows very well, smooth writing. A tiny bit of feathering on plain copy paper. This ink rocks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything you expect in Noodler's ink plus this shades wonderfully! This has become a secure member of my top 5 inks. The other 4 are Baystate blue, Apache Sunset, Noodler's Eel Black and anything Sheaffer. I bought it for my piston fillers but it shades so well it found a home in my Ahab. If you enjoy shading inks as I do, you will be very happy. Also, the service here is amazing. Brian Goulet personally answers emails. You can trust this company to aid you in enjoying this wonderful hobby.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful! This green is everything I was looking for. It flows well, even in my Fine-nibbed pens, it has just a touch of shading, and it doesn't feather, even on cheap notebook paper. This one is definitely a keeper, in my book!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice! Excellent bright green. Has some nice shading with broader nibs. The color can be compared to PR Spearmint and J. Herbin Lierre Sauvage, but offers nice shading.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Written with pointed pen on Clairefontaine paper, I did not notice any feathering and dried nicely. This is a very satisfying green. Lighter than Private Reserve's Sherwood Green seems to have a more creme de menthe color it overall. All in all, a really nice color, but I might choose another green over this one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average. I love the color and the shading, but I don't often get to write on really nice paper (usually grading on cheap copy paper). That seems to be part of the problem with bleeding and feathering. I've heard this may be a side effect of the Eel characteristic?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A very nice yellowish green ink! The lubrication is a plus for vintage pens. Also writes very well in an Ahab flex. It IS on the yellow side of green so if you are looking for something more balanced toward the the blue green scale, this may be too lucent.
