Pelikan Edelstein Ink of the Year (& Pen!) History
Every year Pelikan releases a special edition Edelstein Ink of the Year, available in limited quantities. Here we'll take a visual look back at all of these annual special edition ink colors that have been released.
As an added bonus, Pelikan also released a limited edition M200 or M205 fountain pen to match, beginning in 2015.

2023: Rose Quartz
A cheerful pastel pink color.
2022: Apatite
This teal green color featured added shimmer, and was accompanied by a matching M205 fountain pen – a translucent teal with embedded shimmering sparkles and silver trim.
2021: Golden Beryl
This golden yellow color was the first shimmering ink for Pelikan Edelstein, and was accompanied by a matching M200 Golden Beryl fountain pen – a translucent white with embedded shimmering sparkles and gold trim.
2020: Moonstone
This grey ink was accompanied by the matching M205 Moonstone, a translucent dark grey with embedded shimmering particles and silver trim.
2019: Star Ruby
This pink ink was accompanied by a matching M205 Star Ruby fountain pen, which was a translucent red with embedded sparkles with silver trim.
2018: Olivine
This olive-green ink was accompanied by a matching special edition M205 green translucent fountain pen with silver trim.
2017: Smoky Quartz
This brown ink was accompanied by a matching M200 fountain pen in translucent brown with gold trim.
2016: Aquamarine
This turquoise ink color was later re-introduced as a regular edition color in 2018. It was originally accompanied by a matching special edition M205 fountain pen in translucent turquoise with silver trim.
2015: Amethyst
This purple ink was the first color to have an accompanying special edition M205 fountain pen, a beautiful translucent purple with silver trim.
2014: Garnet
This red color was later re-introduced as a regular edition color in early 2019.
2013: Amber
A deep orange-yellow amber color.
2012: Turmaline
The very first special edition Pelikan Edelstein Ink of the Year color, a beautiful rich pink.
