Almost gone, because I liked the sample so much!

I used this in a small Waterman I hadn't been able to write with for several years, once I finally found a small universal converter. Either it was the color and feel of the ink that's at fault, or the fact that I have my little lady Waterman running again. The answer I think is a bit of both. Would definitely buy the full bottle today if it weren't so pricy.

Beautiful!

Hard color to describe. It's kind of a teal green, more on the green side. I've tried many similar shades and this has the most wow without being in your face. This will probably be the Edlestein that I get a bottle of. It is just a little on the dry side for my taste (compared to my favorite Pilot inks).

Beautiful Shading!

I got this ink as a part of the blue-green sample package, and it's quickly become one of the best inks I've ever used. Depending on the paper, it shades from either a light teal or pale true green, to a dark green-black. It's muted enough to not get tiresome reading page after page of notes taken in it, yet interesting enough to make it fun and definitely not boring. It also flows very well, both smooth and seemingly lubricated, while still drying incredibly fast.

Intense Green - Magnificent with a broader nib

This purchase was an error on my part. For some reason, I thought I was ordering Topaz and picked Jade. (Not the Goulet's fault... I ordered locally and it wasn't in stock! Serves me right for ordering sight unseen, but a happy error.)This is my second green. It is a more intense green than Aventurine, running very wet in my franken pen (Jinhao with Goulet Stub). Due to the wet writing, the drying time is a little higher than my normal fine nibs. The stock Jinhao was also wet, but there was less ink on the page as the nib was a medium. There is some shading of this ink, but as the ink is so saturated, it is not as strong as some other inks. Notice that the medium nib, as opposed to the stub nib, shows a lighter ink. Shading was very minor with the smaller nib. Both nibs showed sheen, but AROUND the lettering, not over the lettering, as common. This produces nice definition to the letters.

Smooth and lovely

A really nice smooth ink, kind of minty green-blue. Goes really well with the Lamy Al-Star in Bluegreen

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
