The Vac 20A Inkwell works extremely well with my TWSBI Vac 700r - the pen screws in securely with no ink leakage when upended for filling. It fills it very cleanly, leaving no ink on on the pen except for the nib and feed.My only small complaint is that the design of the lid has a really deep inset so that when you have your pen attached and you turn it upside down to fill, that section holds a bunch of ink below the fill line of the pen, making it impossible to use the last ~3 mL of ink in the well inverted. I had been hoping that this would work well for filling up the Vac 700r - but unfortunately there is just too much dead space for that.
This is a great gadget and very handy to ensure a full fill up for the Vac pen without having to resort to partial fills etc.. If you don't want to fully charge the barrel all you need to do is push the plunger once. With my writing style and usage a full fill can last nearly a month which is very handy. The cap also seems to fit the bottle of TWSBI ink I purchased at the same time but I haven't been brave enough to risk an ink spill to verify that.
I bought several of these bottles because the opening on new Diamine 30ml ink bottles is to small for my lager pens to fill from. The TWSBI is large enough for any pen that I have.
I love my TWSBI pens, and love the vacuum fillers. Then I tried one of these inkwells. BOOM. A completely full ink chamber. So satisfying. I do a lot of letter writing and I truly appreciate how long I can write without a refill. They are small enough and cheap enough that I can buy a few for my favorite inks. I will be buying more TWSBI vac pens as a result. Now if Goulet can just keep these inkwells in stock....
I bought a twsbi fountain pen and this made all the difference in filling it. I looked at the YouTube video to find out how to use the Vac 20A bottle and it worked exactly as shown. I am very pleased with my experience.
