Pilot Vanishing Point Limited Edition History

A visual look back at all of the annual limited edition Pilot Vanishing Point fountain pens that have been available in the United States. The Pilot Vanishing Point is a click-retractable fountain pen, featuring an 18k gold nib. Each year, Pilot releases a numbered limited edition in a new material.

Our history as a Pilot retailer only goes back to 2011, but we dug up some official info on some colors that pre-date Goulet Pens! Enjoy. :)

2025: Link Midnight

This edition features a barrel adorned with a deep blue textured pattern reminiscent of woven metalwork—a nod to both engine-turned Guilloche designs and modern mesh textiles.

2024: GPC 15th Anniversary

The GPC anniversary pen features a striking ombre gradient that goes from pink to blue, to teal. We loved incorporating our Goulet Pens brand colors into this design!

2024: Seashore

Pilot Corporation of America proudly presents the 2024 Limited Edition Vanishing Point, Seashore. Inspired by the serene beauty and captivating colors of the coastline, Seashore embodies the tranquil essence of sandy shores meeting the endless depths of the ocean.

2023: Kanreki

Kanreki (還暦), in the traditional Japanese calendar, celebrates 60 years of life and renewal, based on the ancient lunar calendar. 60 years is the mark for a completed calendar cycle and symbolizes rebirth. Red is the established color that represents protection and is adorned for such a meaningful event. For 2023, Pilot proudly honors the Vanishing Point with the Kanreki Limited Edition that features a symbolic red and hi-gloss finish.

2022: Coral Red

The 2022 Vanishing Point Limited Edition Collection is called Red Coral. Pilot chose the red coral that grows at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea as the inspiration for the 2022 Limited Edition Vanishing point for its glimmering, vibrant red hues.

2021: Black Ice
