Very nice and "Patriotic" blue. Nice smooth ink.

I am going to use this instead of Colorverse Stars and Stripes since I write with just fine and extra-fine point fountain pens and that ink is sort of black in those pens. And also instead of Noodler's 54th Massechusetts because that writes very wet and wide and stains everything it touches.

Lefty Ink

I bought this ink to use in my pens since I am left handed but still like a medium nib for the smoothness. This dries fast and leaves less smearing. It does look flat but that is to be expected in an ink that soaks in quickly. It doesn’t bother me but might bother some people.

Intrigued by the pen, blown away by the ink!

I'd always been fascinated by fountain pens, but being a lefty, I just assumed they were a no-go for me. I pictured ink smeared all over my hand every time I tried to write. But then I found this one pen I really loved the look of, and I figured I'd take a chance. I paired it with Private Reserve American Blue Fast Dry ink, and wow, it was love at first write! The color is this gorgeous, deep blue, and even though it's not instant dry, it dries quickly enough that I can manage it without making a mess. I'm actually enjoying writing with a fountain pen – something I never thought would happen!

The pen definitely drew me in initially, but it was the ink that really convinced me this could work. In fact, I love the ink so much that I've even bought more pens just so I can try out different nib styles with this ink!

Really Great Ink

This ink has rapidly become my favorite. The blue is vivid and lively! For writing, it is so important to have a color that translates from swatch to the thin line of the pen - and this does! I've really come to appreciate the full saturation of Private Reserve inks, and this color is both useful - and special. While others note the bottle is not fancy, personally, I appreciate the 'fillability.' Love it.
