Pilot Metropolitan Fountain Pen - Retro Pop Green, Fine is rated 4.9412 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Starter Pen My mom bought this pen for me as a Christmas present, and I'm absolutely in love with it! This is probably the smoothest writing pen in my collection along side my Lamy Safari she got me as well. The color is even more beautiful in person, and I'm actually surprised by how much it has grown on me (at first I was a little hesitant about the color - green isn't really my favorite).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Pen As a new fountain pen user, I wanted a solid entry level pen for daily usage that allowed me to explore different ink colors through the use of a converter. The Pilot Metropolitan does not disappoint with its smooth nib, bladder converter as standard (a wee bit of savings right there), and fun colors. There is little to no nib creep (ink creeping to the top of the nib - although to get ink off the top is hard in the first place with the capillary action), it looks a fancier and more expensive pen than it is, writes beautifully, and is easy to ink up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous writing, Outstanding Cap seal, Posting dicey Pilot has the best of almost everything a fountain pen here. The cartridge is eyedropper refillable (once you remove the disc with forceps or a crochet hook), seats thoroughly and securely and is larger than international standards. The feed has excellent ink flow, yet is not too wet. The nib is smooth, if a bit stiff; the fine is closer to a medium in my opinion. The cap seals the nib in securely so that it does not dry out; you can open the pen after days and days of no use and it writes immediately. The light metallic green color of this pen is rendered accurately on this Goulet website. My only complaint is that, when the cap is posted, it loosens and falls off while writing; this is a pen that needs you set the cap aside while using it. While annoying, it was not worth subtracting a star for me. The price is a real bargain for a durable metal pen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing starter pen I adore the look and feel of this pen. It was my second fountain pen in over 10 years (after a Metropolitan in medium) and it was the perfect choice for me to fall in love with them over holding a childhood grudge against them. It's light weight and comfortable, two things that are important to me. It's bright, stands out but remains elegant at the same time. The nib is nice and smooth and offers a wonderful addition to the medium nib to start playing with different inks and learning how ink flows differently in varying nib sizes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun pen for every day writing! This is my second Metropolitan. I was really happy with just how bright the green is! Unlike my other metro (croc pattern) this one feels a bit younger and I've so far gotten questioned less when using it in college. It writes very smoothly and is clearly well built.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish and affordable I've been using it for a week now, with Noodlers Borealis black and I love it. The colour and weight are just right and I'm considering the rest of the set. I selected the fine nib and it suits my small script. It's gotten a lot of use already.
