Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Color This is a beautiful green color...very dark and rich. I'd call this a forest green--a black green with just a tiny hint of a blue tinge. I would consider this suitable for more professional writing--it's quite dark, looks very refined. I've used this in my TWSBI Vac 700 and in a custom-turned wood pen with a Bock steel nib. The ink flows very smoothly, noticed no feathering or bleedthrough on my Rhodia webnotebook or the 90g Hammermill 25% cotton paper I use for everyday letter writing. Very slight bleedthrough on my Picadilly Primo notebook, but that paper does tend to have more problems with bleedthrough than most.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A grownup green Greens--tough to find one that isn't too black, too teal, or too yellow. The friendly folks at Goulet steered me to this one and they were right. Sherwood Green, in a larger nib, has almost a unique barely there red edge. I have this ink loaded into my Conklin Durograph Cracked Ice medium nib. Since I usually try to match pen color to ink color, this was a bit of a departure for me. But the shell-like pieces in the resin actually have a greenish cast so I'm really happy. It is a grownup green that works great for correspondence and journaling in a Clairefontaine basic notebook (green of course). Huge fan of Diamine inks--I don't think they make a bad one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Diamine Sherwood Green Although inks differ with pens, to me this often seem to be one of the darkest of greens that retains a bright green colour without risking being mistaken for black, It seems to fall between Private Reserve Ebony Green and Diamine Evergreen, although with some pens I would choose Evergreen. I wish that in were permanent, although on the good side it does maintain a narrow line and does not spread out so far as to make a fine tip write like a medium as so many of the Noodler's permanent inks do. After getting seven or eight of the darker green inks I would consider suitable for lengthy writing, I think this is slight/y ahead of the evergreen, with one of the two definitely being my favourite so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Green That Just Looks Good on Paper Diamine Sherwood Green looks good on white paper but it looks great on the off white pages of a Rhodia Web Book. Green is supposed to be the color that the human eye is most sensitive to and while it may not be the first choice for business letters it is my first choice for journaling and note taking if the writing doesn't have to be waterproof or forgery resistant. Diamine Sherwood Green flows well and leaves a good line of color that fluctuates between green and almost black when you slow your stroke or finish a character. This slight color variation is subtle and lines of writing leave the appearance of depth. I prefer looking at an entire page of hand written notes when they are written with Diamine Sherwood Green rather than a black ink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent This is definitely my favorite ink (being a green lover). I had tried several green ink samples about 2 years ago and decided to stick with Sherwood Green. I appreciate how rich, saturated, and shaded this ink is. I use it with an extra fine Lamy Safari and am still provided with a fair amount of shading thanks to writing speed. It handles just fine on standard white computer paper which meets my standards. And, again I appreciate the color, it is one of those colors that is both distinguishable but subdued enough that I have never had a complaint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Conservative Green Dark conservative green that should be suitable and acceptable in most cases where there is no ridged color demand. Great for correspondence and looks good on white and off white paper. There is ghosting and bleed through on cheap paper but that is a given with most fountain pen ink anyway ! Holds a line with no serious feathering and flows well from most pens. It's a nice alternative for blue / black boredom. The color is darker than the swab and appears a shade greener than Noodler's Zhivago . I like it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very nice dark green ink I bought this ink after reading many reviews on the Goulet website. I wanted to use it for work and being that the ink is a dark almost black ink, it works wonderfully Depending on the pen and nib, you either get a a dark almost black ink with a green sheen to it or less dark and more green. Its a pleasant ink to use and flows well. I really like the color and for business purposes, it fits right in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it. I also like private reserve Sherwood, but this one behaves better. It dries a little tiny bit more slowly, but generally fast enough for my left hand.
