Diamine Majestic Blue (80ml Bottled Ink) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 109.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb ink I own a lot of ink. It occupies a shelf in a built-in bookcase in my office. I have tried many brands, but my favorite is Diamine. The reason for this is simple: the blues. I can think of no other ink maker that features as many quality blue shades as Diamine does. I don't own all of them, but I own so many I feel I have the blue spectrum pretty much covered. My favorite is Majestic Blue, which is a vibrant deep blue. Perhaps the most unusual blue is China Blue, which corresponds well with what any sports fan might call Carolina blue. Sapphire Blue is a long-time favorite of many and writes with a purplish hue before drying to a true blue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Indulgence That I Don't Regret I auditioned several blues a couple of months ago and decided that Pilot blue was the one for me. It looked good and was very inexpensive. After using it in different pens on different papers, I became increasingly unhappy with its saturation, although it's a very nice shade and pretty well-behaved. That being said, I decided on a second round of trials. The Majestic Blue was up against pretty stiff competition. It won my affection due to its depth and luxurious look. I don't see any shades of purple or black. It's just a decadent, saturated, somewhat wet blue. Even though I'm a lefty and it smears once in a while, I'll be keeping one daily carry pen inked with this. It's that good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Saturated Blueness Purchased this in my hunt for a fun dark blue. After seeing Brian's video review I didn't even bother getting a sample. Brian's tastes are similar to me, so when I saw his writing samples, I had to get some. I do not care it dries slowly. If I'm in a hurry I have thirty something other blues. But when I want to take my time and play. This dark blue just speaks to me. I inked it in an Ebonite Konrad with 9 fins exposed from section and the ink flowed wonderful. It's in my fill often rack, where I have sample vials filled that I can easily fill from the vial holder. Also great for putting pen flush in a vial to let a feed/nib soak. Great Color. Great Name. Have some enjoyment and slow down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful ink, awkward filling experience Hey guys, I always appreciate Goulet's customer service and fantastic products, but this is just a tiny thing on the amount of ink in the vials. I have a Vanishing Point, which requires the nib to be fully submerged, so I need a fair amount of ink to even fill the pen. The size of the vial makes this difficult, so I have to lay it almost on its side to fill my pen up. Other than that little nit-picky thing, I LOVE THE INK. Oh my god do love. It really looks different on different papers, so on low quality papers it looks almost royal blue, but on high quality papers it's navy with a beautiful red sheen that just kinda makes my life. I bought the whole bottle within the week.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very dark, not much sheen After reading the reviews and looking at the pictues on the website... This ink is not what I expected. I have tried it in in a fine nib and a flex nib on tomoe river and rhodia. It is so dark as to look black unless you take a second look. I would best describe it as a true blue, but very dark and with a hint of purple. As far as the sheen goes... It has sheen, but not red as pictured or described. The sheen is just sort of black, or maybe the same dark blue as the ink. The letters just sort of shine in the light. I have seen red sheen in emerald of chivor and Robert oster aqua. This is not like that. At least it wasn't for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My "go to" Blue - Diamine Majestic Blue This was the third blue I ever used, I use to only buy Montblanc Royal and Midnight blue but after buying my first bottle if Majestic, I began to fall in love with Diamine. I now have 8 different bottles of it, and like the Majestic blue, they are all amazing inks that are a pleasure to write with. It is a very rich and smooth ink with perfect flow. It is a nice blue to blue-black that shades lightly when using a broad of flexible nib. This is the only ink that I have always inked in one of my pen(s). A definite "must have" ink!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Diamine Majestic Blue I have been using this ink in most of my pens with different nib sizes (fine, medium, broad, double broad italic) and this ink performs flawlessly. It has excellent flow characteristics and leaves IMHO a rich looking black/blue line on paper. Its an excellent ink for signatures. The richness and deepness of the colour is more prominent on white paper. The only minor drawback is the dry time, especially on the smooth papers like the Clairefontaines 90 gpm. This colour ink has replaced my old time favourite - Aurora Black!!
