De Atramentis Jane Austen (35ml Bottled Ink) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely Calming Green I confess that I purchased this ink solely from my love of Jane Austen. However, I am impressed with how much I enjoy it. This shade of green is not my usual cup of tea, however, I quickly became attached. It is quite a calming green; it reminds me of quiet green meadows or a peaceful glen. The more I use this ink the more my affection increases. I consider this a lovely green ink and appropriately reminiscent of the Regency era. The ink behaves well in the pens I have used it in and is easy to clean out as well. I recommend this ink for any Austen fan or for anyone who likes green inks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Increased Affection I confess that I purchased this ink solely from my love of Jane Austen. However, I am impressed with how much I enjoy it. This shade of green is not my usual cup of tea, however, I quickly became attached. It is quite a calming green; it reminds me of quiet green meadows or a peaceful glen. The more I use this ink the more my affection increases. I consider this a ladylike green ink and appropriately reminiscent of the Regency era. My only regret is that the bottle is out of stock and so I am waiting (impatiently) until I can purchase a bottle of this lovely ink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why Jane Austen? Because!! I am a biased DA user. I appreciate these inks for the consistent flow, easy cleaning, and wonderful colors. Jane Austen is a darker green like the deeper, mossier parts of the forest. Why is it called Jane Austen? Not sure, but don't let that be a reason you miss out on this one. It has depth and a soothing hue when dry, especially on cream colored paper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A perfect dark green This shade reminds me of old velvet, or the green surface of a pool table. It's a nice muted shade, without being so dark you can't tell it's green. Like the other De Atramentis inks I've tried it's best used on better brands of paper like Rhodia.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect green I have a confession to make, I bought this ink solely based on the name. Being a huge Jane Austen affecianado I had to have her namesake ink. Once I used it I discovered that the ink stands alone, no matter the name. It really is the perfect green. Not too yellow, or blue, or brown. Just a lovely shade of green that could easily become an EDC color. The ink is mature enough for the office yet it is not boring. The ink is smooth and just wet enough. If you are looking for a perfect green you will enjoy this ink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Green I was looking for a new green ink...I have not previously used any of the inks from De Atramentis, but I certainly will not limit my purchase to this one color. The quality is excellent and it works well in one of my crankiest pens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great color I like this green. It's a subtler green and more mid tone than dark or light. It works well on Midori's ivory paper

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Subtle and classic This ink is appropriately named - the colour reminds me of the library of an English country home. It is subtle enough for everyday use. I use it with a Pilot Metropolitan fine nib. I get more shading with the same nib from other inks, but I suspect there might be better shading with a medium, broad or stub nib. I haven't tested dry time specifically, but I haven't had any issues with regular use. It is similar to, but less saturated and bold than, Private Reserve Avocado.
