De Atramentis Document Ink - Fog Grey (35ml Bottled Ink) is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Blue Black, not grey. Too wet. Bleeds a lot. Like the other document inks, once this is dry, it's not going anywhere, which is a great feature. Unfortunately unlike the other document inks I've tried so far, it bleeds a lot and writes way too wet. It might work better with an extra fine nib. I tried it in a Lamy fine. It's also not really grey. I would categorize it as a blue-black. It's not a bad color at all; quite the contrary, it's rather attractive. But it's definitely not grey. I'm glad I tried this in a sample first because this isn't what I was hoping for. If you're looking for a very waterproof blue-black, and don't mind a really wet ink, then maybe this one will work for you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super waterproof The colour of this ink is lovely - grey with a blue-ish cast, depending on the paper. Writing in my Lamy Safari and in my Pilot Kakuno feels great. It does quite well on most paper, including a cheap lined pad at work, but there are a couple where it feathered and bled like crazy. It also did not play well in my Nib Creaper... It is fantastically waterproof. Tried a couple different papers, and left them under the tap for more than a minute - it did not budge. Overall, I'm really pleased with it, and no regrets for buying a bottle without sampling first!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous. This ink is gorgeous for correspondence. I'm using it in a Lamy Al-Star, with a 1.1 nib, and it makes me want to write letters all the time. It's just off of blue and much more interesting than black. I love that I can write the address on the outside of the envelope in this ink and not have to worry about the rain rendering it unreadable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fog Grey and DArk Blue are almost identical; NOT grey I love document inks -- mostly for sketching, they are amazing colors and truly waterproof except on the rare paper. This grey, however, is NOT grey -- it is very very blue, not like the color shown.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful color! Great for sketching! I bought this ink to use in a Pilot Metropolitain pen and it works beautifully. It is completely waterproof for sketching and adding watercolor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good color but very wet Originally got a sample & liked it, so ordered a bottle. Very nice blue-grey color, but a very wet ink. In a Lamy 2000 fine, writes like a medium, verging on broad (this is on Rhodia webbie paper). Plan on trying it with an EF nib; would also be interesting to try it in a "dry" pen (unfortunately, I don't have one!)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from More blue than gray Bought a sample of this ink because I was looking into permanent grays. When I got the sample, I thought at first there had been a mistake, because the ink inside was definitely blue. I inked up my Nemosine Singularity with an EF nib. There had been no mistake--this ink is just waaayy more blue than gray. It goes down blue and then dries to a bluish-gray. It is probably the wettest and smoothest ink I have ever written with (even smoother and wetter than my DA Document Ink Violet), as it makes my EF nib (which is a true EF, I am very picky about the thinness of my nibs) write like a medium. There was some very, very slight feathering on my Leuchtturm paper, and some slight bleedthrough. No feathering, etc. in my Rhodia. There's not much shading, but it does flow well, and it is a pretty color, but I won't be buying a bottle because I was hoping for something more similar to Iroshizuku Fuyu-Syogun. I will say, though, that it would look gorgeous in an demonstrator, especially an eyedropper, since in the bottle it resembles dark blue and not gray.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unique and beautiful colour I have to say this is the most considerable and sweet packing I've ever received... With handwritten notes wow <3 ink is perfect for fountain pen or dip pen. Brilliantly beautiful colour.
