Rated 5 out of 5 by from Remarkable Quality The quality of the pen at this price point is great. The ink flows nicely, no hard starts, no adjust needed. Everything worked great right out of the box. This is now my go to pen for gift giving—it feels more substantial and is just a cooler pen than the Lamy Safari and works just as well if not better. I hope the packaging is accurate when it says it is manufactured in Taiwan—I try to avoid products made in the PRC for all sorts of reasons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's Simple, I Love This Pen! That's right I simply love this pen. It is with me where ever I go, I love the clear demonstrator look, the stylish cap, the incredible ink capacity and the smooth nib. This pen is a joy to write with. For under $30 you can't go wrong. I'll be buying more in the near future.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Heavy Leaking after 1 month To start off, this is my first fountain pen. So naturally I was overjoyed when I received it. It writes smoothly, puts down a lot of ink, fits comfortably in the hand, and you can see your ink sloshing around in the barrel. All great things. However, recently it's been leaking. Like, a lot. Like a cap full in five minutes of being horizontal. I don't know what it is. I've tried resetting the nib and feed multiple times, cleaning it out and inking it back up.. I'm at a loss. So be careful. I hear there's a lot of issues with TWSBI, but I didn't pay any mind to them in the lust I had for this pen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For a first time piston filler, LOVE When I heard about this pen being at a killer price for a piston filler, I had to try it. I have been using mostly cartridge ink type fountain pens, and wanted to try a piston filler fountain pen....boy did that change my world. Not only that this is an affordable piston filler, but a demonstrator, so by seeing your ink, it's just....let's just say that sometimes just watching the ink swooshing around is just as exciting as writing with it. And the ink capacity is A LOT, so you won't have to worry about running low after a week or two. I chose a fine nib which is abnormal for me since I tend to like broad, but really, this is pretty nice and fairly smooth. It did take me a while to get used to how big the nib is, quite long. But after a while, it's not that big of a deal. Overall, I'm very happy with this and may think about getting fine nibs from now on.......or not....i do love my broad nibs. But I DO love the piston fillers. So for those curious about piston fillers and how they work, you can't go wrong with this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Pen I've had this pen for a few weeks and it has become one of my most used pens. It writes extremely well and is very smooth. With a dark blue ink it looks beautiful. For the low price it is well worth it I'm considering buying one in white. The maintenance is easy enough just rinse out thoroughly and let it dry and add silicon grease as needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect piston-filling demonstrator for the price! I've had this pen for little under a week now, and I've fell in love with it. I've done a lot of research before making my decision on this purchase, and I couldn't have made a better choice for the price point. When I got this pen, I had rather high expectations, and those expectations were well met! This is a nicely sized piston-filling demonstrator fountain pen, that is also lightweight, writes smoothly, and feels great in my hand. It's my first TWSBI, as I was moving up from a Jinhao X450 and Pilot Metropolitan, and I have to say, it was well worth the price I payed for it. It lays down a nice, wet line on the paper, doesn't skip, it writes very smooth (Even for a fine nib! Impressive!). It holds a massive amount of ink, I don't even think I'll run the pen dry for weeks. The piston is also very smooth, and there is a bit of silicone grease included with the pen to lubricate the piston, to help it stay smooth. However, I one of the largest gripes I have with this pen is how difficult it was to clean it, I actually had trouble getting the piston mechanism back in correctly, luckily though it got fixed and it works flawlessly now! Bottom line, this is now in my everyday carry, a nice sci-fi looking fountain pen that writes very nicely. I love this pen!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Pen for the Price After just a day of writing, I must say this pen is absolutely fantastic. The pen arrives in a cardboard sleeve with the TWSBI logo on it, upon removing the sleeve, there's a hard plastic case. Inside the case is the TWSBI Wrench, the pen itself, and a small vial of silicon grease. The nib works wonderfully right out of the box. I haven't had too much experience with cheaper or more expensive pens, but the nib feels incredibly smooth, with just a hint of pleasant feedback. The nib seems a bit less substantial than I had expected, only about an inch long.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from twisbi eco black This is a heck of a pen. I have most of the twisbi pens and I think this is the best one yet. Quality is excellent and of course I was dealing with goulet pens. What could be a better combination. JRI
