Rhodia No. 16 Notepad - Black, Dot Grid (5.83 x 8.27) is rated 4.8443 out of 5 by 122.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from No. 12/16 Dot Pad These pads are great. I love the unobtrusive dots. They hold up well to the various inks I've tried (J. Herbin, Diamine, Caran d'Ache, PR, Sheaffer). I do see ghosting, especially with darker inks but have never had any feathering or bleed through. My only complaint, and reason why I didn't give them 5 stars, is because they are not as smooth as my beloved 90g CF paper. Ninety gram CF and the G. Lalo paper remain my favorites, but that's not why I bought these pads. For day-to-day note taking and lists, that are easy to tear off and fountain pen friendly, you'd be hard pressed to find anything better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from what can you say about paper? A LOT. i like the dots. they are dark enough to be seen for reference but light enough so they disappear behind your words. The paper is bound very tightly along the top so it does not shift and is very stable/does not bounce when writing. The paper is high quality and works very well with fountain pens. The only way to improve would be to make a stronger back to make it easier to write off desk, unless this would raise the price too much. There is a reason why you see these pads being used by Brain and in every pen video made by people in the business. Very good value. The ideal every day fountain pen paper pad.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice paper, but ruling isn't for me I have to say that Clairefontaine paper inside Rhodia notebooks truly gives a glassy writing experience as most of my pens simply glide over the paper as I write. However I found that the dot-grid ruling isn't for me. It proved to be a huge distraction as I would constantly absentmindedly start doodling in the middle of a lecture, something I almost never do. From an objective standpoint, it could be a really great creative notebook for when I take notes the dots are less obtrusive as sharp lines, allowing me to really notice the color of the ink, and the formation of the letters when I view a filled up page. Very minimal ghosting, absolutely no feathering, so other than the ruling, a perfect paper to use on a daily basis.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from smooth! After writing on this guy for about 2 weeks, i can't get enough. there is NO feathering with virtually any pen, and as per Brian Goulet himself, this ink will show the true width of your nib and character of your ink. My only qualm about this paper is that sometimes it feels too slick, as in my pen gliding over it is almost TOO glassy. its not bad complaint to have, but sometimes i prefer a toothy paper, and this is certainly not that. It's personal preference, but if you're after a smooth paper, this is the one for you! "the classic" FP paper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Perfect Pad After trying the ruled Rhodia pad and loving the paper quality but finding the full ruled lines a bit heavy for my needs (calligraphy practice) I decided to try the dotpad version instead. This works much better - still providing a horizontal guide for lettering but without all the visual clutter of a ruled pad. For notes it works great - my Noodler's Ahab fountain pen with a flex nib does not bleed through even when pushed. The paper even puts up with a 6mm Pilot Parallel calligraphy pen with no trace of bleeding through.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the dots I tried one of these because I fool around with different inks and doodle a lot. I had been using printer paper, but disliked the way some inks bled or feathered, and the size of the sheets. The Rhodia No.16 Dot pad is just the right size, writes smoothly, and the inks don't bleed or feather, so I can use both sides of the sheet. And the dot pattern is a nice, unobtrusive guide for writing or sketching. The micro-perf makes it easy to tear out the sheets. I use this mainly as scratch paper, but the paper is nice enough to write notes and letters on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rhodia No. 16 Notepad I love it! Great paper The top staple binding makes it great for lefties like me and with the micro dot I can turn it sideways or use it straight up and the memicroperforation is an added bonus that I haven't found on many other notebooks. Would recommend it to anyone, especially left-handers!
