A Fine Mossy Green

I was hoping for something of a warm moss/forest green and found just that! The warm gold undertones were precisely what I'd hoped for, and the uniformity of the strokes was astonishing. Lacks distinct shading, for any who would hope for it, but if you're interested in an even stroke then you've found it. My only qualm is that it seemed to bleed strangely. Not so much that it became illegible, but the edges of my letters were a bit fuzzy. However, I had just rinsed my pen, so this may have been due to dilution. The paper I used was a thick graph paper pad, which has proven to take well to fountain pen ink (I regularly use Namiki black on it with no issues, which is a reliable standard in my mind). Would still happily use the ink due to the fantastic color, but be warned that it may bleed and cause cloudy lines.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
