Goulet Pen Flush (8oz)

Sometimes water just isn't enough. Goulet Pen Flush is here to help you give your pen a thorough cleaning. We've formulated a gentle yet effective solution to help loosen any residual ink hanging out in your pen. Our flush comes in a blue plastic 8oz bottle with a secure twist cap, and one empty ink vial for easy decanting. This should last you a while!

Instructions: Clean your pen just like you normally would with distilled water (or tap water if that's all you have), drawing it into your pen and flushing it out until the water runs clear. Pour approximately 4ml of Goulet Pen Flush into the included vial or another container of your choice. Fill and flush with the Goulet Pen Flush from your vial, repeating to remove any excess ink from your pen. Fill and flush again with clean water to remove any residual Flush.

You can reuse the Flush as many times as you want, but it's best to dump it every few cleanings. You don't have to use the vial, you can just flush straight from the bottle. If your pen is particularly nasty, feel free to soak it in the Flush overnight (or longer as needed) to loosen up stubborn ink, then flush with clean water.

Warning: Do not drink this or get it in your eyes. Keep out of the reach of your kids or your pets. Don't soak aluminum or casein pens in the Flush. Don't mix with bleach.

Ingredients: Distilled Water, Ammonium Hydroxide, Biodegradeable Surfactants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cleaned my Shaefer VFM so that it finally works I have had a Shaefer VFM for several years and have not really liked it due to constant skipping and refusing to lay down the ink. When I purchased the Goulet Pen Flush I soaked the nib in the flush for several minutes, changed cartridges and finally got the pen to write. So far it has been writing each time I uncap it. If it starts to skip I will again flush it in the Goulet Pen Flush. Also, I am amazed that with my converter pens once I think I have washed out all the ink the flush will still pull color from the nib. If you have a pen that continues to skip I suggest using the pen flush and soaking the nib, I bet the pen will begin to write again for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product I used this in a Parker "51" that had been using Noodler's bulletproof black as well as Kung Te Chung for 5 years. This pen had been flushing clean, clear water, but the sac was stained. The first flush of Goulet Pen Flush unleashed a flood of color. After several flushing cycles I was seeing clear return again, then I shook the pen loaded with flush and a paper towel over the nib. Yet another flood of color was released when I squeezed the aerometric filler. A few more flushes and even the sac was clean again. Sure, one can make their own flush, but the handy squeeze tip bottle and small vial make the process that much easier. I highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ah-mazing This stuff is crazysauce. Goulet sent me a sample vial free during one of my previous orders and I tried it out - it worked really well, but at first I didn't notice a difference (mostly because I use my pens so frequently that I rarely have ink cleaning problems). THEN I was gifted a few vintage pens from my boyfriend's dad (some that he had when he was in school that he never uses) that had 10-15 years of ink caked in them. The second they were gifted to me I went straight online and bought a full bottle. OMG this stuff is amazing, it got all of that ink out and got all the pens working like they'd just been bought from the store. Beautiful. Now no cakey ink problems and shiny like-new vintage pens! Who could ask for anything more?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flushed away all my tears I bought this as a last hope for my Lamy Vista fountain pen that had some strong waterproof ink in it for months to the point the Lamy didn't even write anymore. I tried everything to flush it out and make it write smoothly again but to no vail. After a good flush with this however, as well as leaving it over night, my fountain pen was writing as good as if I just bought it again!!! The additional brass sheet also helped on it write smoothly as if nothing had happened. Really recommend this product! Wished I had tried this sooner instead of being frustrated over possibly loosing my pen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't run out of this cleaner Just purchased a spare bottle of Pen Flush after some superb cleaning of old pens. This is the only cleaner that has restored the original color and finish to my Parker 21's. Plus, Speedball nibs that were washed, flushed, and air blasted and looked clean, just colored the Pen Flush solution when they were reemerged before a later use. It cleans out old squeeze sacs better than anything else I've tried over 50 years. Amazing performance and leaves gold plated nibs brighter than acetone or isopropyl alcohol. Haven't seen any ill affects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For permanent inks Ordinarily when you change inks in a pen, a good flush with water is enough. But when changing from a permanent ink (e.g., bulletproof, document, pigment, iron gall), minute amounts of that ink often stick around after flushing with water, and play havoc with the new ink, making the pen balky or even clogging it. That is where this flush is valuable. A few hours soaking in the pen flush seems to get *all* the old ink out, and the new ink flows freely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally! All My Antique Pens Are Flowing! Great Stuff. Hard to believe something can so easily replace the hours standing over the sink, filling and refilling pens until they run clear. If this only cleaned my daily use pen, it would still be great -- but it removed decades of old, dried ink from antique pens dating back to the '30s-40s. Cheap at any price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Revived an old pen. Use this on an old but treasured pen, given to me by my mother. It was clogged and was very sticky you could not see any tines. I rinsed it with flush using a converter, I saw at least three colour come out. Pen writes freely and easily now a great product. Thank you for the excellent packing was worried about ordering this as I live in Australia arrived in good condition no leaks. Great web page very easy to use.
