Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for my style I'm not goth or in any other way particularly dark, but i did want a brownish-reddish ink for my fountain pen. I feel it's a nice eccentricity to match the fountain pen and adds to the rustic aesthetic of using a fountain pen in the 21st century. This color is everything i could've hoped for. In the well it looks a little bloodier than expected which has become a humorous talking point in my research lab. No water resistance, i coughed too close to a page and a small drop of spittle obliterated a letter. Will buy again when this bottle runs out, and will buy from Goulet Pens again if they still carry it when that day comes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Ink if you know what your getting. This ink got a few upsides and downsides to it, but I bought it knowingly of this. The "flaws" it have are that it's a bit paper sensitive, It really doesn't like cheap paper and a semi wet pen. It's also no waterproof what so ever. However, this ink is amazing if you don't need it waterproof and write on good paper. For calligraphy it's insanely beautiful, and for writing it's really a subtile really dark red/brown that is good enough for mostly anything. I can imagine this ink would be amazing with a flex pen because of the amazing shading and color you get when it's written with a larger pen . 10/10 Would buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Diamine Oxblood Ink The Diamine Oxblood ink is the ink color I've been looking for. A deep red with enough brown to make it stand apart from other reds. I've used it on several correspondence letters and I always get good feedback on it. I will also say the Goulet's service is 2nd to none. After placing my last two orders I recieved an email within the hour advising me my order had been packaged and shipped. They do it so fast they even make the Postal Service look good. I wish all companies I deal with provided this kind of customer service. Cudos to the Goulets for their great service. May their ledger books always be in the black.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Diamine Oxblood, a great color Diamine Oxblood is a great reddish brown color. Slightly different than Diamine's Syrah, which leans more towards the purple. For writing purposes, if you have one do you really need the other? Probably not but I'm happy I have both because they are just different enough that sometimes one is a better fit than the other. I have the Oxblood in a vintage W.A.S.P. with a fine nib. The ink writes on the wet side, but not overly so. It has a good even flow and, in general is well behaved. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes reds that aren't too bright and in your face. As I said, Diamine Oxblood is a great color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The most appropriately named ink I've ever used I dripped some of this ink on my desk while I was filling a pen and wiped it up with a tissue... and it certainly does look like blood. The ink shades somewhat, nothing dramatic, but it goes from a dark red-brown to a clearer red. In a Lamy Safari F, there was no noticeable bleedthrough or feathering on cheap lined paper. For interest's sake I loaded it into a Noodler's Nib Creaper Flex as well. On smooth 20 lb paper with the pen fully flexed, there was absolutely no bleedthrough or feathering. So, if you need a very well behaved ink with an unusual colour, this would be a great one to have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Diamine Oxblood I ordered Diamine Oxblood from these great folks just a few days ago. It arrived wrapped up and protected so well it could have survived being hit by a truck! This is my first foray into ink in the red family. It is very well behaved. I use it on Rhodia and Clairefontaine papers. Got it from Brain and company also. On the white paper, either Rhodia or Clairefontaine, it appears a reddish brown. There is no feathering or bleed through. On the ivory colored paper dries to a real Oxblood red. Beautiful!! Flows perfectly, lubricates well, just a great ink if you want something in the red family and not be a shock to the readers eyes, this is it! Diamine Oxblood!! Get it from Goulet Pens, you will not be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oxblood I really love the richness of this color. I'm currently using it with a Binder full flex duo XF/XXF Pelikan nib, and the color looks great. It's a very "wet" ink, and laid down on the page a bit too heavy at first. However, after easing slightly on the flex, the color on the page is simply beautiful, with nice shading and tone variations. I look forward to trying this color in another pen with a more accommodating nib. It's a very dark and rich red, with hints of black. It's not bright, and it's very easy on the eyes. This shade could easily be used as an every day color. For those who'd love to write in red, but don't like the "alarm bells" most red inks send off, this may be a color to try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautfiul First the color is extraordinary. I love the shape of the bottle. I love that the lid is metal and clinks when it hits the glass bottle. I will be exploring more ink in this line. Consistent and pretty. Goulet Pen Co. wrapped the ink in plastic, carefully placed it back in the box, wrapped that box in plastic and then bundled my entire order together with more plastic. Finally they whole bundle was wrapped in large bubble wrap. It could have withstood anything the postal service could have thrown at it. I am impressed with Goulet's attention to detail. What a class act.
