Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the shade of purple I was looking for! After trying several brands of ink, and not getting the color of purple I was looking for, I decided to give this a try. Since this is the first scented ink I've purchased, I was a little apprehensive about the scent being too strong (especially since I'm a guy!!). My worries were unfounded, as the scent is there, but very light, and actually a acceptable. The color was the most important thing, and it fit my idea of purple to tee!! It also matches the Monteverde Prima Purple Swirl pen I'm using it in perfectly! So far, it is behaving predictably on standard printer paper. Very slight feathering, with slightly wet flow (medium nib). It also dries quickly, which is my second priority since I'm a Lefty. Finally, I have the purple I was looking for...so now it's on to other colors for some of my other pens!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful purple This is a beautiful shade of purple. There is nothing magenta about it. My bottle, in fact, calls it "Purple Violet" which is more accurate. Even still, this purple is just on the blue side of the spectrum...but just slightly. It is gorgeous! I inked up my FaberCastell Violet Loom with a broad nib with it. Wowza! Now I know this nib tends to be wet. But the ink is WET! It's fabulous! And the color just pops on Clairefontaine white lined paper. I cannot say enough as to how much I like this ink. It flows, there is no feathering, no bleed through. And keep in mind how much ink is going onto the paper with this juicy nib and ink!...A lot! I am impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better in real life I am in search of the "perfect-for-me" purple ink and purchased a sample of this and another purple ink. The ink was tested in my Twsbi Eco, fine nib pen, on various papers and reviewed in a multitude of lighting situations. The color is beautiful, I would say it is a true purple, not a magenta or a violet. As expected, the ink bleed through the cheaper papers, but performed beautifully in my Leuchtturm 1917 and in my personal journal. It was easy to read in various lightings, ranging from direct sunlight to candlelight. This one is going on my wish list!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very beautiful purple with a hint of sharpness I bought this ink as a self Christmas present and do not have a single regret about my choice. The ink is a beautiful purple, I chose the colour because it reminded me of the shade of purple used on the ribbon of purple hearts. In terms of the ink property, people should take note that this ink is moderately 'wet' and free flowing. To give some perspective, the flow of the ink out of my lamy safari with an extra-fine nib for a straight line is the same rate as the rate in which noodlers bulletproof black ink flows out of the same pen with a fine/medium nib. That being said, I was surprised at the drying time of the ink given the wetness of the ink (it was faster than I anticipated but still a bit slower than I would have liked it to be). Overall, two thumbs up for this ink if you're after a good purple for casual writing and comments on papers (I wouldn't use this as an every day writing ink).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ink 1. Vivid color, it's a very strong purple color. 2. Very low surface tension, you will get good ink flow for almost any pen. 3. Ink is not perment, you can easily wash it out completely by 70% ethanol. This is very helpful in case it is dropped on your carpet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Violet ink! I purchased think ink to replace my Private Reserve - Tanzanite, which I had some issues with. The stability of this ink and the flow are significantly better with a similar color and better shading. I highly recommend trying this ink!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Intense violet Beautiful, intense violet ink. Have written with it in my Lamy Safari with a 1.1 italic nib. Strong color. Great on any paper, and looks especially gorgeous with green inks and paper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from favorite purple This became my favorite purple after one day. Just a hint of pink to be vibrant, but dark enough to be serious and classy. Writes smoothly with good flow.
