De Atramentis Document Ink - Blue (35ml Bottled Ink) is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect ink for left-handed lawyer I've been using this ink for just under 2 years, in a TWSBI Eco, a Monteverde Impressa, and a Franklin-Covey (Cross). It flows very well in all three of the pens, and it is one of the fastest drying inks I have seen. As a left-handed writer, this is important to me, for obvious reasons, but I have never gotten a smear from wet ink while using this. It is also absolutely bulletproof--water will not affect it and once dry, it's permanent. This does have bleed through on some papers, like personal checks, but it does not bleed through on my yellow legal pads. The color is a dark, navy blue, much darker than it appears on the computer screen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A beautiful warm mixable blue I bought this ink last week and tested it in mixes with other Document inks. It is a gorgeous warm - almost purple - blue alone, so mixes extraordinary purples with Document Magenta (Fuchsia). It also mixes wonderful sepia, grey and deep blues with Document Brown.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very wet, very waterproof I purchased this ink to go along with my first "major" pen purchase, a new medium Lamy 2000. I was alarmed the first time I tried the pen because the ink writes VERY wet, so much so that I thought I might have been shipped a double broad by mistake! This was true for any paper I tried, copy paper, Rhodia, Tomoe River...the Lamy put down very wide lines. Fortunately before trying to return the pen I decided to try other inks and the Lamy behaved as a medium normally would, so I believe my issue was with the De Atramentis. This ink will go straight through any normal paper that official documents might be printed on. I also find the blue color to be rather dull/drab, so definitely not suitable for my personal writing. However, I did decide to test its waterproofness by dunking the writing samples in the sink, and water doesn't stand a chance!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Blue Waterproof Ink This is a beautiful, well-flowing, professional blue ink. Not too dark, not too light, and very, very waterproof. I am planning on using this as my everyday blue ink, because it is a lovely blue ink, that stands up to water and coffee spills well. I have used this on basic Mead notebook paper with no bleedthrough, very little showthrough, and no feathering (though that may be because of my preference for needle sharp nibs). Dripping it with water shows little to no color loss, and rubbing it with a cotton swab shows only a little color spread, but bits of the paper come along with it. Moleskine paper has similar behavior to the Mead paper. It does requires a bit more diligence and care with the cleaning of the pen. It has slightly stained an extra-fine Platinum Preppy that I bought for ink testing, but nothing that didn't go away with an evening's soak in an ammonia/soap/water solution. I imagine I would need to rinse every few fills to make sure everything works well. I have been duly impressed with this sample of ink, and will look at purchasing a bottle of it to use regularly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great color Clogs pens Blue its great but clogs both my Noodler Ahab and Pilot Metro pens. Have tried several other brand inks with my pens and I do not have any issues. Hate that I bought 35 ml bottle.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it thus far Just a sample at this time. It flows well but is behaving well even in a paper that has had trouble with bleed-through. Love the chalky shade. I'm a little concerned as to what "diligent cleaning" entails. I've used Noodler's Violet Vote for years and now that it's unavailable, I need a substitute. I never had problems with it in my VP and I was pretty lazy about cleaning.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Feathering Lots of feathering even on Clairefontaine paper. Not impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid ink - water proof, writes well, and looks professional. Very happy with it. It didn't flow through to back of page
