TWSBI Diamond 580 Fountain Pen - Clear, Broad is rated 4.75 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Touch of modern class. This pen looks so much better in real life than the pictures or videos of it. If your trying to decide get it you won't disappointed! When you put the ink in it, it really comes to life so cool to see the ink moving around in the clear pen. Just awesome!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ready to write directly out of the box! I wanted this as a replacement for the TWSBI 540 that I accidentally destroyed- I purchased this as soon as it was available. This is even better due to the refinements they made- simple changes, but they should help. Nib is smooth and flows well (I usually load it up with Noodler's inks)- I sketch quite a bit and this is my everyday pen. Ink capacity is amazing! Pen was shipped right away-thanks TWSBI and Goulet Pens!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The TWSBI 580 is slugging above its weight Like a plucky Little Mac going up against the Sandman, the Diamond 580 is competitive against pens it seemingly has no business competing against. The pen has a nice balance and weight to it, with a solid feeling to the piston filling mechanism. The broad nip flows smoothly, just a little wet, and leaves beautiful shading. The feel of the pen, overall, is terrific--the difference between the 580 and a Lamy Safari is far greater than the price variance, and when compared to my grandfather's Monteverde, I can discern little difference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pen at a great value This was my first TWSBI that I ordered along with a Platinum Cool. I still haven't touched the Cool. This may be one of the best pens I've ever had. I have several vintage and several modern pens in the $100-$150 range and honestly this pen simple is better than every single one of them in my opinion. The nib, while not gold and having little flex, works just like it should. Smooth and no hard starts or starvation. If it sits on my desk at the house for a week, I uncap it and it writes instantly. The ink capacity is great. I'm trying really hard to think of at least one thing that TWSBI should improve....... and other than "Bring back the Orange 580AL" I can't think of a thing at all. My understanding is that this pen uses a Jowo nib, in which case, I may have to buy a gold nib and make it simply perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beauty and Elegance Personified My first broad nib which has turned into a great writing experience. Well.. its more broad than I thought and the letters are far thicker, but with Noodler's Elysium Blue, it's am amazing writing experience... For the price, I think it's a good addition to everyone's collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent pen- even better customer support I purchased a clear Diamond 580 back in June 2015 (10 months ago). I have been inking it primarily with Noodler's Nightshade. I don't have any comments beyond what the reviews have said so far, but.... First, two recommendation. I broke the cap and the feed holder on my pen after ten months of use by over tightening the nib assembly and cap respectively. This isn't really a flaw of the manufacture, so much as a flaw of plastics. Don't routinely crank down your cap and nib and this problem can be avoided. This has led me to TWSBI's customer service, which I can confidently state has been the most functional I have ever encountered. I was able to order replacement parts within roughly 30 minutes of submitting a request via their website's contact form, and my pen was back in business within a week. In summary- an excellent pen backed by a competent company.
