This sample set is the perfect way to explore the De Atramentis inks. There were a few surprise winners in there- hello, Apple Blosson! I wasn’t interested in that color until it arrived, love it now. Using my Kaweco Sport with a converter.

Atramentis Scented Ink Sample

The colors are pretty, but I unfortunately, I lost my sense of smell r/t Covid and I couldn't distinguish any of the scents in the sample.

Underwhelming Scents

Beautiful colors, but the scents don't last very long. Most of them are not the most accurate to the description (more like generic soap), but the good ones are Elderberries, Hyacinth, Cherry, and Lavender.

Smell goods

I loved playing with these!!! They really are scented. Lovely!!! The scents eventually fade but while they are there it's a wonderful aroma flipping through your journal. Lolol

Love them

I enjoy all of these inks, the flowery scents can be a bit hard to tell apart but the good colors make up for it. The scent is not as strong as the herbin rose ink I have but to some this may be preferable.

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you. 

Can I substitute a color in this ink sample set? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

No. We are unable to make substitutions in any of our ink sample sets.
