Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT! Just perfect for my teen, learning to use FP's, to convert her Pilot Platinum Preppy's to eyedroppers, once she's home from University for this Summer! Sturdy, well made, well packaged, affordable. The same product can be purchased @ Home Depot, maybe fractionally less costly, if you think it's worth saving 23 cents to make a separate trip there... I surely don't! "Thank you" Goulet Pen Co., for offering these so conveniently & affordably, having already done the work of painstakingly choosing the precisely correct size O-Ring! (They're a pain to try to figure out the PRECISE size needed, if you try to buy yourself @ hardware store). So- GREAT BUY.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from eye dropper pen parts I thought I would try the old fashioned eye dropper style pen and now would not recommend it. The o-rings are fantastic but the eye dropper idea is not so good. I go from outside to inside a lot during the day so the pen is cold then warmed on entering a building. The change in temperature causes the air behind the ink to expand and after a very short time a blob of ink hits the paper. Warming air forces out a large drop through the feed and if not caught really ruins a document. Very inconvenient and unprofessional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ode to an O-Ring There are many rings of silver and lots of rings of gold. There are dainty little ladies' rings and men's rings bold. There are rings in noses, rings in ears: made plainly or with bling. But my very favorite ring of late is my Preppy's sweet wee O-ring! It fills that tiny gap, you see, 'twixt barrel and the nib. With grease it keeps my ink contained: my writing flows forth, glib. And 'tho my rhyming tortured is and makes the reader groan, I'll not give up my wee O-rings, … unless Gouletpens valiantly defends poetry and sends me a Platinum Plaisir fine point pen on permanent loan! Happy 2016, Pen Friends! (with apologies to the ghost of James Thurber and poetry lovers everywhere … these really are a terrific little item!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Watch exploding eyedropper pens! I think these preppy O-ring are cool. Since seeing how to make an eyedropper, I've been making them like crazy as I and my grandchildren (well, John Paul) love using lots of ink. One caveat! I was in an automobile accident yesterday, took a good jolt. I found my preppy eyedropper to use (I don't have other pens) to write something when the police came (they were nice) and, when I took off the cap and went to use the pen, all the Noodlers HEART OF DARKNESS ink flowed out. Glad I didn't have the Bay State Blue with me! A mess. So beware eyedroppers on the road!!! Or in combat. Maybe I didn't use enough silicone or maybe they don't withstand trauma very well. Anyway, I am undaunted, cleaning it out and starting over again. So thanks for providing O-rings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and effective These are just tiny rubber rings, but since they are the exact same rings Noodler's uses on their Preppy eyedropper conversions you know they will work. Getting them here is far more convenient than trying to find them in a hardware store or something like that. They work great and are the perfect size for all the pens I've tried them on, which includes not only the Platinum Preppies, but the whole line of inexpensive pilot pens as well (78g, etc.). A warning about eyedropper conversions though that I didn't see in Brian's video until it was too late: Always make sure they are at least half full of ink or the warm air inside the body will push ink out the feed after holding the pen for a while. I ended up with some big blue blobs on an official document the other day because I hadn't filled the pen up enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Need them for the Noodler's Ahab These O-rings are thin enough to do the job on the Ahab or several other pens. They don't interfere with the pen cap fitting over the barrel. Thank you, Brian, for thinking of the little things that make it fun to tinker with pens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple part of a nice pen mod I used these o-rings to convert Platinum Preppy pens into eyedropper pens. They worked exactly as they should. I use these eyedropper pens at home for long writing tasks and penmanship practice. Works well with the silicone grease also available from gouletpens.com Brian Goulet's videos (as well as those from Noodler's founder Nathan Tardif) make it easy to perform maintenance and modifications on my pens. I could find these o-rings on my own but gouletpens.com makes stuff like this _so_ easy with their excellent customer service.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works It works, but after a few years the rubber starts to break down and I got a nasty leak. Advice to all: Look closely at the rubber and replace before a bad thing happens. If the surface is not smooth, get a new o-ring.
