Received Wrong Item

I ordered a 1.0mm nib but received an Extra Fine nib. Everything, except the nib itself was labeled as 1.0mm

I really should have ordered a fine instead of an extra fine

I ordered this for my Pilot VP that came with a medium nib, but wrote like a broad. Expecting the replacement nibs to run a little on the broader side, I decided to get the extra-fine to end up with what I would consider a fine point. Well, I really should have ordered the fine nib instead. The extra-fine is incredibly extra fine. So extra-fine that it feels like it wants to tear into the paper when I write. I tried polishing the nib on some micromesh and it helped, but I really wish I had gotten the fine nib instead. I will say that the nib is wet enough, especially for it being such a tiny point. Overall, it's a bummer that these units are so expensive because it makes getting one that doesn't meet expectations a pricey endeavor. All that said, the extra fine is better suited to my writing style than the medium, so it wasn't a total fail.

My Daily Driver

My vanishing point is my daily driver, it goes with me everywhere. I originally had a fine nib, and liked it, spent over a year with it - but wanted to give a medium a shot and turns out I liked it more :) Works well on both high and low quality paper. Definitely one of my favorites.

I love you guys!

I love vanishing points and this is a great nob. I had a bit of a problem with squeakiness at first. I took a look at one of Brian's videos and the squeakiness is gone. The videos are such a great resource!
