Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Handy Never realized how handy these buggers are. I simply shake up the bottle of ink, and fill a vial via the syringe. Essential work inks now can stay with me, or stay in my work desk. A semi-filled vial can easily refill a lamy converter 4 times! I use the syringe to fill my converters. Also, super handy for the JB Pen Flush! I hate contaminating my inks, double dipping and all of that. So to be able to dose out the pen flush is awesome. Only thing, which is kind of funny... I'm in my late 20's, and my mother saw my ink setup at my condo... And thought it was drug accessories? LOL Might of been the syringes that thrown her over the edge.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very handy - use with caution These are very useful accessories for any fountain pen user. The plastic is reasonably durable and the caps stay on tight while traveling. The vial openings are also wide enough to accomodate all of my pens. These are especially useful if you like to draw with a dip pen or brush, as you can have access to a good amount of ink on the go. One word of caution: if you are not holding the vial with one hand while filling your pen, you might want to make a small stand to use with these. The narrow base of the vials makes them fairly easy to tip over (as I found out in class.) I made a stand out of LEGOs, though one could probably make one by cutting a whole in a thin cardboard box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These vials are very useful They carry just the right amount of ink for several converter refills, and they are watertight and sturdy enough to bring around in a handbag without leaking. They are also very useful when one uses dip pens a lot, but don't really prefer the more decorative inkwells. The vials help avoid contamination of the original bottle from all that dipping. The biggest use anyone can get out of them, perhaps, is a cleaner, less cluttered workspace. Instead of having a pile of forty different ink bottles on one's desk, one can have forty uniform vials instead, in a neat rack, occupying just an unobtrusive 10.5 inches by 4.5 inches.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from water tight I bought 50 of these to hold acrylic ink for students learning to paint stones. I made stands for them from a 1x2 plank which I spray painted and varnished, so that they wouldn't be knocked over in use. They are perfect for the task, being easy to transport to and from class with no leaks or spills. (I use an eye dropper to fill them). The screw top also means that the ink doesn't dry out, and each student gets their own vial which holds more than enough for the purpose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Way to Carry Spare Ink These are very lightweight but durable and watertight. I've carried these vials loaded with ink in my bag that I have tossed around. No breakage or leakage, not even a crack on the plastic body. A great way to economically and conveniently carry spare ink or to give out ink samples to friends. It also helps that there are sticker labels that come with the set, so one can label the content. But I wish there were more sticker labels than just the exact number of vials.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for Samples These vials are quite useful for getting or sending samples to people. They hold an adequate amount of liquid, the bottom is shaped so you can get almost all of the ink out, and they seal well. One note of caution though: they can leak if you over tighten the cap. I found this out the hard way. When sealed using moderate pressure, they're great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A vial by any other name.... I love these sample vials! Not only is it a good way to decant and store a variety of inks, I also use them as travelling ink pots. Because they are so affordable and conveniently sized, I also use a vial for my pen flush solution, allowing me to travel and clean pens on the road. As I accumulate more inks, it is a good way to sort them for use, while keeping the original bottles of ink out of the light. I would highly recommend this product to friends and family.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great except for the labels They seem to be the same vials as Goulet uses for ink samples (as pictured) but not the same labels. The vials hold a decent amount of ink and seal tightly. Great. But the labels aren't the same as pictured and their adhesive isn't strong enough to stick to the curved surface. While it is an easy enough fix with some tape I feel strongly that products I buy should be the ones pictured and all parts should serve their intended purposes.
