Piston-style twist converter. Fits all current Pilot and Namiki pens. Four small metal agitators inside the barrel help break up air bubbles to keep a steady flow of ink.
- Max Ink Capacity - Converter
The maximum volume of ink that can fit in the pen when using a converter.
What is a converter?
A cartridge-shaped reservoir that allows you to use bottled fountain pen ink, when a cartridge would otherwise be your only option. Fountain pens that have this option are usually referred to as a cartridge/converter pen, or C/C for short.
What pens accept a converter?
These fountain pens all take a converter. Please check the individual product descriptions for if the pen needs a proprietary or standard converter.
You can also check out our Cartridge/Converter Compatibility Guide for general brand guidance.
How do I use a converter?
A converter goes in the place of where the ink cartridge would normally go.

How do I clean a converter pen?
You can clean a converter by flushing it out with water, the same way you would use it to fill your pen, but instead of ink you’re just using water or a Pen Flush.
