This silver stainless steel replacement nib unit fits the TWSBI Vac700R. It includes the nib, feed, housing, and clear grip section.

The Vac700 has been updated to now be called the Vac700R. TWSBI made small updates to the internal of the pen valving. The old Vac700 used to have 2 small valves. Now, it has only 1 large valve. The bottom of the grip/feeder section has also been enlarged and tapered more drastically. They found by doing these two adjustments, the flow of the pen when the end cap is open increased a small percentage. This is the same design they incorporated in the Vac Mini series.

Due to the bottom of the grip/feeder section being enlarged and tapered differently, the individual nib sets from the original Vac700 pen will NOT work on the Vac700R. Only the Vac700R nib sets will go along with the Vac700R fountain pen.

Purchased the Matcha Benu and wanted more nib sizes and if you take out the nib and feed out of the round plastic part it fits into the Benu perfectly!!!

Very good pen but shimmer issue

The pen was originally intended to be a nib replacement, but it's such a nice writer that I have not 'de-nibbed' it. However, I did have to remove the shimmer ink that I first used as it slowly clogged.

Replacement nib

Writes smooth I like a finer nib than the one that came with my pen

Fixed 'baby bottom'

I have three of these. The fine and broad nibs were perfect without any adjustment. The stub had an occasional hard start which was caused by baby bottom. The 'Inkquiring Minds' YouTube channel has great instruction on this. I wish pen stores would sell the micromesh sets sold by Lee Valley Hardware. (Hint, hint). Now, all three nibs work perfectly. Very smooth, very reliable.

Very Smooth

The nib was very smooth. However, I ordered this to replace the nib that was on my TWSBI Vac 700R Iris which I had ordered directly from TWSBI. That was very scratchy. It is too bad that TWSBI does not sell the VAC 700R Iris nib, but I think the pen still looks good without the Iris nib.
