Diamine Grey (80ml Bottled Ink) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 44.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Grey, trust me I was looking for the perfect grey to use in my Parker Sonnet Cisele with a fine nib. Didn't want washed out black; didn't want a blue cast. I did extensive research online before calling Goulet. As usual, they were so knowledgable, friendly, and steered me to Diamine Grey. Diamine Grey flows so nicely, even with a fine nib, and dries fairly quickly. On the right paper is has a pearly depth to it. On a plain notebook paper it appears almost pencil-like. This is a true grey, not a watery black, and has no blue or purple undertones. Lots of shading even with a fine nib. Not for legal documents, but certainly an affordable and distinctive ink for everyday writing. If you want the best grey, here it is. Trust me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it ! This is the only non-Irosh. ink that I have given 5 stars so far. I'm beginning to believe that Diamine inks are every bit as high in quality as the Irosh. inks at less than half the price. The color is like a pencil graphite, maybe an "F" or "HB" hardness pencil. I didn't notice much shading, and it was very well behaved with a good dry time, no bleed through, no ghosting, easy flow, consistent color and performance. This will stay in my rotation. And, as always, I was very happy with the service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Grey I tested this ink in my Laban Labrados Spider with a Peter Bock AG feed and 1.1mm stub from a Conklin in my collection. The paper used was 24 bond (90g/m2) premium ink jet paper. All my Bock feed/nib combinations flow on the wet side. Despite the heavy flow, the ink lies down nicely, dries quickly with beautiful color and minimal feathering. There is a slight tendency for pooling to occur at intersections and pauses in one's strokes that leads to a slight degree of shading. Overall this is a beautiful grey and an ink I will be testing in other pens in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Diamine Grey I had been looking for a gray ink and first purchased Noodler's Lexington Gray. However, I found it too dark for what I wanted. I took a chance on the Diamine Grey and I am so glad that I did. It is a pure gray and I have been using it in a fine nib pen. It lays down a dignified line that is easily read on my Rhodia pads. Highly recommended if you are looking for gray, not black.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Diamine Grey Ink I like it. Tested in Pilot Stargazer, medium nib, Pilot Parallel pens: 2.4, 3.8mm. Tested on cheap multi use paper and Rhodia #16. Colour is good, it is a neutral grey light enough to be grey not an improper black, but dark enough to be easily read. Shades nicely. Good flow, decent lubricity. Little feathering. Cleans easily and seems to not stain. Besides, Diamine knows how to spell, "grey", what's not to like?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it in a Flex Nib! This ink is stunning when used with a Flex nib. For non-flex nibs, I only tried it with an extra fine and fine which didn't let the darker characteristics of the ink show through. Without the flex, in a thinner lined writing, dry nib, it doesn't become dark enough for my particular taste - It reminds me of light grey pencil lead. Despite this fact, I love using this ink with a flex nib as it provides a nice, antique-looking feel to your writing.
