De Atramentis Black Edition - Black-Brown (35ml Bottled Ink) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great saturation and flow. A go to ink if you like a deep, rich chocolate brown. Not a boring brown. I like Waterman Havana and Pelikan Brilliant Brown but wanted a darker more chocolate brown. Have been impressed with a lot of De Atramentis inks from Goulet and decided on this one because of the excellent flow characteristics of De Atramentis. I have a 1990's Conklin broad nib that is hopelessly dry despite numerous tune-up attempts from nib misters and this really makes the nib useful again. However, this ink also works in my beloved Visconti and Pelikan pens that tend to write wet. It is therapy for a dry nib and works fine in nibs like Pelikan and Visconti that tend toward having well behaved nibs right out of the box. A+++++

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like chocolate from my pen... This could easily replace my other chocolate ink, Private Reserve Chocolat, as it has much the same color and smoothness, but with a better dry time. The color is rich and has great depth.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from De Atramentis Black Brown At last a deep brown ink and with no reddish tones whatsoever ! Good flow as well ! Very similar to Waterman Havana, but this De Atramentis a bit darker and the problem of reddish (if it is a problem for someone) solved. Tried with a Faber Castell Ambition, fine nib.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Dark Brown Almost black from a wet medium nib, more brown from a dry fine nib but still dark. It has good flow and doesn't feather.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed feelings on this one I really like the dark brown color. The ink is very wet, and exhibited quite a bit of nib creep. Decent shading and very good flow, and surprisingly water resistant (but not waterproof).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well behaved dark brown The ink worked well in both a medium nibbed and a fine nibbed pen and didn't feather even on cheap paper. The color is so dark that it appears black in some situations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very interesting, off beat Ink! Brown is not a color one would normally have as a go-to ink; but this one is really a unique black-brown blend is is pleasing to the eye, and is smooth on the nib. It is a specialty ink, but definitely worth checking out. I have been using it for the last month or so, and the color is growing on me. The ink does bleed to the other side of the page on a moleskine (just a little bit, but visible).
