Introducing the Monty Winnfield Highwater fountain pen collection, exclusively designed for Goulet Pens. This Amethyst fountain pen is made of a custom mixed vibrant purple Alumilite resin, with shimmering pearlescent swirls throughout. Due to the nature of the material, each pen is unique; no two are exactly alike. The Highwater pen features a custom titanium clip, a beautifully designed textured brushed titanium grip, and a #6 JoWo steel nib engraved with the Monty Winnfield logo.
This fountain pen accepts a standard international converter (included) or standard international cartridges. It can also be converted to an eyedropper with a little bit of silicone grease.
It comes in a beautifully presented custom metal and Jatoba (Brazilian Cherry) wood gift box, that can double as a desk display.
Monty Winnfield pens are made by penmaker Jeremiah Hackett in Colorado. He has a technical engineering background in high-end performance automotive and motorcycle part design, as well as custom jewelry. The pen color names are respective to his jewelry experience.
The Highwater pen name is inspired by the historic building he resides in. The building was one of few to survive in the area in 1921 by a flood from the Arkansas River. He is designing a logo inspired by the profile of his building with wavy lines representing the high water mark 10-12 feet through the building.
Jeremiah is inspired by the Japanese approach of Shibui. Shibusa is an enriched, subdued appearance or experience of intrinsically fine quality with economy of form, line, and effort, producing a timeless tranquility. Shibusa includes the following essential qualities:
- Shibui objects appear to be simple overall but they include subtle details, such as textures, that balance simplicity with complexity.
- This balance of simplicity and complexity ensures that one does not tire of a shibui object but constantly finds new meanings and enriched beauty that cause its aesthetic value to grow over the years.
- Shibusa walks a fine line between contrasting aesthetic concepts such as elegant and rough or spontaneous and restrained.
