Edison Collier Fountain Pen - Blue Steel is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 135.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great looking, poor performing. This pen is absolutely gorgeous, and the craftsmanship on the body of the pen is nearly flawless. My only gripe was with the most important part of the pen: The nib was absolute garbage when it got to me. It was scratchy and barely wrote. Yes, I flushed the pen before using it and made sure the tines were aligned, and no: this isn't my first stub nib. After a (lot!) of adjusting, it writes quite well now. However, for a pen this price, and especially one that I am told has each nib hand adjusted and tested...I'm not sure I could recommend it. Additionally, I do wish the section was not quite so narrow. Such a nice, girthy pen...it's a shame to suddenly have such a tiny section.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the colors! I recently purchased the Collier Burnished Gold and it is so attractive. Love the subtle swirls of gold on the soft black background. The Collier's diameter is a little bigger than what I'm used to, but it is getting more comfortable as I use it. With an Edison pen, you can count on the weight being on the lighter side. I got the pen in the 1.1 two-toned stub and it writes fairly well. My stub is slightly scratchy, but then I'm still trying to get used to it. I will probably tune the nib after watching Brian's video more carefully. The pen also writes a little wet, which is okay with me. Overall, a pretty good pen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Beautiful Edison Collier. Just received my Collier, and I couldn't be more pleased. This is my first Edison pen, and it really lives up to everything I have read. With my big hands, I was worried about not being able to post it, but no problem. It fits my hand very nicely and writes a wonderfully smooth extra fine line. It has already taken it's place as my journaling pen, and I've been using it for notes and maunderings at work. To tell the truth, I think I've spent more time stoking it and looking into the translucent depths of the acrylic than I have actually writing, but I am writing with it as well. It is surprisingly light for it's size, yet has enough heft that it doesn't feel cheap and disposable either. Wow, a great pen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first Edison Rules this price range. It looks like a river of smooth feeling color. Different gorgeous shades of orange and amber. I put in a Pelikan 4001 blue cartridge and it wrote perfectly when immediately touched to paper. Holds 2 international shorts which is nice. Ink not included but anyone reading this probably has too much ink at home anyway. Wow...American made is amazing. In my humble opinion the awesome gold xf nib is just a hair towards fine. You can write with this slightly light pen comfortably all day. Regards, RRE.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Undecided I love the look of this pen, it's beautiful. I think it looks more expensive than it is. As I don't like fine nibs I purchased it in Broad and am glad I did. It's finer than my Visconti and Faber Castell fountain pens. I am experiencing gaps in ink flow and the nib is a little scratchy at times. I'm left handed and find I need to keep adjusting my grip to stop the scratching. I usually only have to do this with fine nibbled pens. I will persevere though because I think the pen is beautiful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Precious I ALMOST wish I had never stumbled upon Goulet Pens. I started off only a short while ago by purchasing my first fountain pen, a Lamy Safari. A TWSBI Diamond 580AL soon followed. Before I knew it, I was clicking the submit order button for this beauty, the Edison Collier in Persimmon Swirl. Needless to say, I am slightly addicted. I see the Blue Slate version in my near future. I'm a lefty, and the Collier with a medium nib flows very well for me. I first inked it up with some Iroshizuku Yu-Yake (because the ink has to match the pen in my case). No complaints here. Honestly, other than the price, I can't find any complaints to make. However, I've found you do get what you pay for, and the quality of this pen is top notch. Thanks Goulet Pens for yet again feeding my addict...err, hobby.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can't stop staring at my pen! I love this pen! The blue steel acrylic is so beautiful, and I have yet to find a photo that does it justice! This is a big pen, but it's so comfortable to write with. I wasn't sure how I would adapt to a non postable pen, but It's comfortable enough that I don't even think about it any more than where to place the cap when I'm writing. The nib is smooth, and works great. I do find that the converter often needs a tap to get the ink to move down to the bottom when I first start writing, or the feed runs dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic writing experience (F nib) I've been writing with this pen for a few months now, virtually daily as my primary journaling pen. I don't have a ton to add beyond what many other reviews have said. The writing performance is superb - no issues whatsoever. The pen is on the large size, and note the inability to post it. I have medium sized (male) hands, and do not find it at all too big or heavy. The two-tone nib looks very good too. I'd wanted this pen for 6 months, and finally indulged myself. I am glad I did, and considering the look and writing, I think it is a fantastic value at $150 USD.
