Rated 5 out of 5 by Luke from A really nice Blue Black I just ordered two more bottles of this ink here at Goulet. I'm embarrassed to admit that my first bottle came from another vendor since it was out of stock here and, I needed it in a hurry. I've had the Aurora Blue Black in both a medium and fine Montblanc 146 for a good couple weeks now. I really like the way it flows and lubricates. It dries quickly and cleans up easily with only water. This ink is more free flowing than Aurora Blue with similar lubricating qualities. The color of this ink is growing on me fast. I prefer blue-blacks that lean more toward dark blues. I really dislike the ones that turn gray or green. There is none of that here. It's pretty much deep dark blue. I've been looking for the perfect blue-black for years. I think I've found it now. Since starting with Aurora Blue Black, I've recommended it to two other friends on the Fountain Pen Network. They too are impressed with it. I've been getting more and more conservative with the inks i put in my good and expensive pens. I'm pretty happy with this ink. Aurora inks have always been considered "safe" inks that won't damage our good and expensive pens. I'm going to be using Aurora Blue-Black for a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Stache from Excellent for Drawing! I actually got an advance sample of this ink at a pen event, but I wanted to share my experience with it, in case you're thinking of getting it-- DO! I use my pens mostly for drawing, which usually limits me to black and brown (lighter colors don't give me the kind of contrast I like). But this ink flows beautifully, and in a fine point pen, it's nearly black, but with just enough of the blue showing through to give it a nice accent. In broader point pens, the blue-black color is quite apparent, but still dark enough to be easily readable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Libster from You can tell it is a blue/black! I bought this ink after trying a sample and am very happy with it. I used to write in black all the time but after trying some blue inks I liked the look of them better. I wanted something that I could use at work when I didn't want to use other louder colors. This is a great blue/black. Some of the others that I've tried don't even look blue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by rogue21503 from Great Blue Black I know part of the fun of fountain pens is getting fun colors, of which I have many but for an unknown reason I have fallen in love with blue-black ink lately. This a fantastic blue-black. I love the color not too blue not to black but a nice mixture of both. There was a stopper in the bottle that I had difficulty getting out and made a mess in the process, slightly annoying, but I am so in love with the color that I would definitely order again when my bottle runs out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by arguchik from Clogs Feeds :( I've had problems with this ink in two pens - granted, not expensive pens. I first tried it in a Lamy Safari EF, a pen I've had for awhile that has always written very smoothly and nicely. This ink dried up in the feed and clogged the pen. I then decided to try it in a Pilot Metropolitan F. This pen was new to me, so I can't say how it would do with a different ink, but again it dried up in the feed and clogged the pen. Both of these pens took a lot of effort to clean. I had to soak the nib units for a good long time in pen flush, followed by very thorough rinsing, before they were clean. That said, before it dried up in these two pens I really enjoyed the ink. It is a wonderful shade of blue-black. I would like to be able to use it, but I'm reluctant to try it in a different pen, and I certainly don't want to put it into a more expensive pen.

Rated 2 out of 5 by sigmathgur from Super Dry Ink! I was really excited about this color but my excitement was wiped away by the dryness of this ink. I tried the ink in four different brands pens and in every case I experienced hard starts and very poor flow. When the ink did flow, the color was amazing but I cant stand for an ink that doesn't flow. I guess my search continues for the perfect Blue/Black.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JessK from Dark Denim Look This color makes me think of dark, muted denim. It has a diffused, nautical look to it (although I did not feel it showed any luminosity or iridescence like in the "ink spill" photos above). It is a flat shade and I am enjoying it for its smoothness and flow. I findo it is best paired with a substantial nib (been using Lamy 1.5 calligraphy). I really like that there is no trace of purple in this shade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Susan from Fountain Pen Ink I am BRAND new at fountain pens. I ordered a number of samples and a Lamy pen. I do need to call you because I have questions. I don't know how to fill them and if certain pens only use cartrigizes. I need to make a list of my questions so they make sense and I will call you tomorrow. Susan Lambrix
