Superior in Every Way March 28, 2013

The pen is superior in every way, and a tremendous value, performing as well as pens costing three times as much. A joy to use.

Smooth Pen January 19, 2013
Reviewer: Adam from Missouri, United States
This is my second and most expensive pen I owned and I was very impressed with both the filling system and how well it wrote.

Very Smooth, good ink flow, no trouble starting or skipping.  It puts down a reasonably wet line with no scratching.  The pen literally paints ink on the page.  The broad nib is probably a little bigger than I anticipated but that takes nothing away from its performance.  I'll still buy another one, just with a medium or fine nib:).

Fantastic service from this company as well.  They are always great to work with and very prompt at answering questions.  They love and take pride in what they do and it does not go unnoticed with me.  Thanks!

This pen is mightier indeed July 6, 2012
Reviewer: Adam from Hillsborough, NC United States
The Pilot Custom 823 is just a delight to write with. The Pilot B nib is broader than a Lamy M, but finer than a Lamy B. The nib/grip section is mid-size, not too narrow and not too fat. I'm 6 feet tall and wear a size L glove, for scale's sake. It's a wet writer, and a very smooth experience. I love my Lamy 2000 (B) and use it daily, but this is a step up. It's a good daily writer as well, and I use it for writing at home, while the Lamy 2000 rides in my bag for use at work, cafes, etc. The 823 is a great blend of finesse and functionality. There's nothing precious or ostentatious about it. It's meant to be used and to bring out the best of the hand that wields it.
