Legend ... wait for it ... March 30, 2013
Reviewer: Gerald Choi
I heard so much of this pen, reviews from fountain pen users from disassembly to history of the 2000.  I felt I had to get one for myself especially after hearing one of my favorite writer speak so highly of it.  After all that, what do I think?  BODY and MATERIAL:  I absolutely love the Makrolon feel.  It is super light and the cigar shape is the heft I want for long writing session.  I don't feel the ink window is clear enough but I guess I will get use to it.  CAP and CLIP: The spring clip feel a bit stiff, not having the same amount of pressure push all the way thru otherwise nice idea and function.  Great snap on cap for note taking. SECTION: Smooth metal section except for the two jutting "ears".  If I don't use these as some friction to hold, I feel my hand will slip or rotate as I write. NIB:  Okay finally something that actually wrote an extra fine line but ink flow seemed a tad dry for my taste.

Great pen with a hefty price tag.  I just wish it had a better section!

Favourite pen ever! March 14, 2013
Reviewer: Mercedes Schrödinger from Saskatoon, Canada
My dad got me this for my birthday, by request.

I LOVE THIS PEN!

The ink started flowing immediately, no tapping or anything like in the video. I'm using Quink Blue-Black.

No matter how long I left it uncapped on my notebook in class, it wrote right away. Note, "how long" was always only a few minutes.

The extra-fine is exactly what I like. Not as fine as a Pilot Fine, but then it's not a Japanese pen.

Writing is smooth. It even writes upright, when held like a ballpoint. I never imagined I could achieve that in a fountain pen.

I personally really like the hooded nib, but that's a preference thing. It allows me to hold the pen as close to the tip as I'd like, and minimizes mess.

Lamy 2000 EF March 6, 2013

I only gave this pen 4 stars because it could do with increased ink flow. The pen itself is fantastic though, rough & tough, piston fill, and great nib. I'd definitely recommend this pen, as it was recommended to me by Brian & Stephen Brown :D

Awesome Pen and great service February 27, 2013
Reviewer: Michael from Marietta, GA United States
I have been using this as my everyday pen since I got it without any problems.  It writes very smoothly, is comfortable to hold, and feels well balanced.  I was using a safari with an F nib previously and to me, the XF on the 2000 seems to write around the same width.

The customer service from Goulet pens goes way beyond what I would expect with an online retailer.  After receiving 2 non functioning 2000s from other vendors, I ordered from Goulet and asked that my pen be inspected before being sent out.  Even with this request, my order was shipped out within a day and arrived with a friendly note written with my pen.  The pen from Goulet has worked flawlessly.

Lamy 2K February 23, 2013
Reviewer: Rori Montoya from New Mexico
I got this pen as a recommendation from Brian and Stephen Brown--they were right, this pen is FANTASTIC. I wanted something I could ink with Noodler's El Lawrence; it's my favorite ink, but I'd had a hard time finding a pen that could handle it well.
The nib is smooth and it ALWAYS works--zero hard starts, even with EL in it. I'd buy 2 if they came in other colors.
