A favorite ink! September 17, 2014
Reviewer: David Covert from Hayward, CA United States
The shading is phenominal with this ink and I'm a huge fan of the color. Very well behaved and zero start up issues in my Noodlers Ahab Flex, Italix Parson's Broad Italic, Lamy 2000 Extra-Fine, all equally nice flow.

If you like burgandy/purple inks this is a must have!

Turned out better than expected September 11, 2014
Reviewer: Pat from Beaverton, OR
I was disappointed when the formula was changed. I had been planning on buying but hadn't gotten around to it before the change. Glad that I decided to go ahead. It is now one of my favorite inks.I have PR Burgundy Mist, Diamine Amaranth, and Noodler's Saguaro Wine. This ink has more color variability than Burgundy Mist and is less "pinky" than Saguaro Wine and Amaranth.

It still looks like vampire ink. I still love it September 9, 2014
Reviewer: Unwit from Frankfort, KY United States
The new formula is more purple than it used to be.  The old formula looked like black cherry juice, with a slightly brown cast.  The new formula looks more like blackberry juice, no brown in it.  It's still very contrasty on white paper, flows like a dream, shades as well [almost?]

It's different September 4, 2014
Reviewer: Karl Harris from Bristol, NH United States
This was my favorite ink... not anymore.  The formulation has been changed, and it now has much more pronounced purple color than previously.  I still like the ink, and the color, but not as much as I liked the old mix.  I'll continue to use it, and even continue to buy it, it just isn't my top favorite anymore; it's lost something in translation; kinda like a kid's version of an adult ink, or something like that.  I dunno... it's just different, and not in a positive way, for me.  I think it needs a new name to go with the new color; it ain't BS in AR anymore.  Close, but no cigar.  It's a lovely shade of purple, for sure, and I like it for what it is.  I'm just an old curmudgeon who doesn't like for things to change once I've become used to them, I guess.  Ah, well... it's still a very pretty ink....
