Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful ink I am a blue-green ink enthusiast, so I decided to add Diamine Marine to my (quite large) ink palette. It is a very nice relatively light blue-green, with a very nice shade, depending on the "wetness" of your pen. It is actually very similar to Diamine Steel Blue, but a little bit darker and leaving a darker shade. Also similar to Private Reserve Blue Suede, but lighter; in the same range of blue-green though. As most Diamine inks it dries reasonably fast and does not produce feathering. With the right paper It is a real nice ink for notes and general writing purposes. I use it also for correcting and grading papers, which gives a very attractive highlight to the corrections in papers that are generally written with dark inks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Marine! This is a great ink! Works wonderfully from my TWSBI Diamond 540 EF. Even works well on cheap paper. Very nice color, and is a nice change from the loud shade of orange I was using previously (De Atrementis Jasmine, great ink, smells awesome, but a bit too bright for every day writing IMO). Excellent shading, relatively dry, but I think I prefer this level of "lubrication". Overall good stuff. Not sure if this is a new thing Goulet is doing, but thanks for the Tootsie pop Rachel Myers! Very cool thing to find in a package of ink, haha. I would definitely recommend this ink!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I didn't want to like you... I felt this ink would be too light for daily use upon first inking up with it, and even said as much in my ink journal. But, I was wrong. The more I used it the more it grew on me - it isn't a very dark color, but it shades beautifully and is gorgeous on paper out of an italic nib. I have a LOT of samples but just a few bottles - this is about to be added to the bottle collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Think I'm in Tahiti! First, the chemistry: Flows well in several pens. I write almost exclusively with italic nibs & this ink shades beautifully. I'm reporting that after using it on Clairfontaine and the Rhodia Webnotebook. No feathering or bleed through on either of them. Second, the aesthetics: I'm not sure I like this incredible color. I can't book a trip to Micronesia or the Caribbean and when I use it that's all I can think of. It's stunning. I've had too many what Scheaffer used to call "Peacock Blue". This is a bit more green than the majority of turquoise inks. I really can't liken the color to anything other ink color. "Marine" is an apt name as it is like one of the colors in tropical oceans (Very close to the swab as my monitor shows it - as usual, kudos to Brian and his staff.) I'd never use it for any business purpose tho'. I hear that Polynesians have one hundred or more words for blue. Sad that English is so limited. This color would surely have a unique word for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from better than blue-black I love this ink. So dark that it can be used where black or blue black would be, but much more interesting. Has turquoise depths like a moonlit sea. Some lovely shading with a flex nib. Very well-behaved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Diamine Marine Right away, this was my favorite sample from the April Ink Drop and I was in suspense waiting to find out what it was. I love the brilliance of the color and the subtle shading, and it flows well in all of the pens I've tried so far. Normally I am not a fan of blue inks, but this one is more on the aqua or teal side and it reminds me of a summer ocean breeze. Or the sea glass one might find on the beach. Lovely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Marine I had a new pen and, of course, I wanted a new ink to go with it. It's hard to choose sometimes because you never know what the actual ink will look like compared to what you see on your monitor. Fortunately, I was going through some old bills and found one of Brian's handwritten thank you notes written in this color. Beautiful looking, easy writing - everything you'd want in an ink!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful color! I have grown to really like Diamine ink. This is a beautiful color and I'm really enjoying it. I'm currently using it in my Lamy Safari with a 1.1mm nib and love the shading it produces. I was looking for a turquoise similar to an old peacock ink I remember from long ago and this one fits the bill.
