Establishing the Ground Rules: Eligibility Requirements
Before we introduce our inductees, let's set the ground rules for our Hall of Fame. To be considered eligible, a pen must meet three critical requirements:
- Currently Manufactured: We're focusing on modern pens that are currently in production, reflecting our expertise as modern fountain pen specialists.
- Decades of Existence: Pens must have been commercially produced for at least 10 continuous years, showcasing their enduring appeal and relevance.
- Noteworthy Strengths: Each pen must excel in at least three out of five Hall of Fame categories.

Hall of Fame Inductee: The Pilot Vanishing Point
For our inaugural induction into the Goulet Fountain Pen Hall of Fame, we've chosen the iconic Pilot Vanishing Point. Originally known as the Pilot or Namiki "Capless" pen, it emerged in 1963 and has since evolved through various iterations and materials, including a smaller version known as the Pilot Vanishing Point Décimo.
