Perfect gift 2 July 11, 2014
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from United States
I bought this along with a Platinum Preppy Fountain Pen for my niece who is an animation major in college. She never sketched with a fountain pen before...she seemed to really like it. She also really liked the paper...she said she didn't want to draw on it because the paper was so nice! But she made some really nice sketches with the pen and paper. It was the perfect gift.

Really nice but February 21, 2014
Reviewer: Kris from NM United States
I bought this to fit in my Oberon cover and it doesn't fit. The paper is thick, a little toothy but wonderful to write on without any feathering. The only issues I have is that it doesn't really lay flat very well and it won't fit in my Oberon cover.

Love this sketchbook~ September 21, 2013
Reviewer: Criss R. from Northern CA United States
After watching the video on gouletpens.com,  I was convinced that this sketchbook would be a good purchase.  I've only just begun to use it, but I don't think I'll be disappointed.  The paper surface receives juicy splashes of watercolor, drying into interesting paint strokes and patterns, similar to hot pressed watercolor paper.  There is some rippling because of the amount of water I like to use, but it's not too much and adds character.  Love the stitched binding.
Initially there was a slight problem but it was taken care of promptly and completely to my satisfaction.

Very Nice - But Not for Fountain Pens March 12, 2013
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Fletcher Hills, California
This is a high quality sketch book. It takes multiple washes, ink, chalk, and pencil well and without bleeding through. The paper surface  has a distinctive texture. Washes do take a while to dry and the paper does warp a bit with large area washes but not a huge amount.  Paper handles small washes along the ink line very well. But it just isn't as much fun to write on as smoother paper - for me anyway. It soaks up the ink and makes my pen feel like it is dragging, and very dry. I'll use this one for pencil and ink with a brush, but not fountain pens. I wouldn't recommend this for a journal if you are using a fountain pen exclusively.
