Nothing fancy; nice flow; just blue.

Very good behavior, but the smell is too much! July 3, 2014
Reviewer: Nadezhda
This is a very well-behaved ink, good flow, but it just smells so bad and so strongly, I find myself unable to use it for long stretches of time. It smells like the type of oil-based dyes that come in a tube, very unpleasant, so if you have a good sense of smell, bear this in mind.

mixing July 1, 2014
Reviewer: Kenny
I like this shade of blue ink though it does not shade very much except when I use a flex pen.

I also tried mixing this ink with enjoyable results. I mixed it with the Pilot Black and I also mixed it with Pelikan's Brilliant Black. 1 part black to 10 parts blue is what I start with and add a drop here and there to match my mood. The Pilot Black with Blue mixes to a nice blue black. The Pelikan Black with Pilot Blue gives a nice blue black that has a greenish hue.

A staple for students. June 4, 2014
Reviewer: Reilly Irvine from Oliver, BC Canada
This ink stinks. I mean, it literally stinks. Not in a good way, or even a weird way. You could probably die from smelling this ink too much.

However! What a great ink. The only real difference I can find between this ink and the Iroshizuku line is the smell.

The flow characteristics are amazing. The pickiest of pens will work great with this ink. Uncapped pens can go a long time without drying out. I even found this ink to feather much less than the black ink cartridges.

The colour isn't bad, but it won't wow you. I bought this ink at the same time as Kon-Peki, and this ink is definitely a lot more purple.

Completely water-resistant. Completely. Woot Woot.

This is really something you should consider. The flow characteristics of Iroshizuku at a cheaper price; a decent blue for students and workers. But please, do not smell this ink.

"Utility" ink April 28, 2014
Reviewer: Bart Willems from Elmwood Park, NJ United States
Despite the name and bottle shape, this ink is no exotic. Contrary, it delivers on what John Q. Average thinks is “ink.” And boy, does it deliver!

It flows well, has a radiant blue color that is hard to describe than anything but “blue” and it has this wonderful inky smell. If you’re into sniffing ink (?) this would be the one to get.

The most discussed property of this ink though, is it's persistence. And holy ####, is this ink persistent. Waterdrops? It won't notice. Pour a cup YES A FRIGGIN CUP of water over your page, and this ink laughs. It just laughs. I held a sample written on cheap paper under running tap water and rubbed over it with my thumb. It didn't even feather. I don't think you *ever* want to drop this ink on your clothes, I doubt you'll ever get it out. But if you need to put addresses on envelopes (or need anything coffee-spill resistant), this is your go-to ink.
