Very unique ink May 20, 2014
Reviewer: Jeremy Cucco from federal way, WA United States
The fuyu-syogun is a truly unique ink.  I've given it 4 stars only because of the fact that it's so unique that it may not be a good all-around choice (office, letters, personal notes).  The color is very similar to a well tamed pencil after drying.  For official business documents, it would probably be a little less than desirable.  However, for almost anything else, it's a joy to write with.  The extra darkness at starts and stops makes this pencil-look-a-like a real compelling ink.  You'll look at it and assume it's pencil then quickly do a double take and note its smoothness, evenness, and subtle shadings and realize it's definitely not.  It's a very smooth ink like other Iroshizuku and is a joy to write with.

Needs a wet writer April 9, 2014

It performs well like most Iroshizuku inks. However, I find it too light in finer nibs. In a broader nib or wet writing pen, the ink darkens up a bit with a little shading and looks really nice. The blue undertone gives the grey nice character.

Not just a winter color! February 4, 2014

Intense subtle color.  Wonderful shading.  I'm partial to Iroshizuku ink, but Old Man Winter is exceptionally good.  I have three pens inked with it right now.

Big fan... January 11, 2014
Reviewer: J Tolentino from Tokyo, Japan
I have been a FP user for the past year and tried (and collected) several bottles of ink during the past few months. I found Iroshizuku as having the most consistent quality, in terms of during-writing and post- writing. A lot of inks change color when they dry and Iroshizuku are the only ones I have seen that more or less, retain their color even after drying.
