The Nib Creaper (also known as the "Standard Flex Pen") was the first fountain pen produced by Noodler's, introduced in 2010, and is Noodler's smallest and slimmest fountain pen. It features a steel flexible #2 nib and a twist piston mechanism. A small ink window shows how much ink is left in your pen. These pens are made from a celluloid derivative.

The Noodler’s flex pens were designed for the hands-on tinkerer - they are made to be taken apart and adjusted. The nib and feed pull right out and can be adjusted for optimal performance. Don’t be afraid to get a little ink on your fingers while you learn how to use this pen.

As a simple rule of thumb for writing with a flex pen, just apply slight pressure on your downstrokes, which will spread the tines and increase the line width, achieving that optimal line variation. Make sure to go slowly so that the ink can keep up with your writing. As with any flex pen, it just takes practice!

Due to the residual machining oils used when cutting the feeds for these pens, we highly encourage you to give the pen a good flush before use. We recommend any of the following options: distilled water, water with a touch of dish soap, a pre-packaged pen flush, or a solution of 10% clear ammonia to water. This should resolve most ink flow issues!

Interesting! March 30, 2013
Reviewer: Katie Kraus from Edina, MN United States
I was intrigued by Brian's video so had to try this pen. Had fun adjusting the nib. This pen is VERY slender compared to my other fountain pens, almost hard to hold on to. The barrel color is quite pretty. I must not press hard enough when I write because I'm not getting much line width variation. Maybe I'll have to adjust the nib some more but again, for a $14 pen, it's quite nice!

good enough flex pen for it's price. Now I'm practising  in drawing with it)))
I've ordered 2  Creaper Flex Fountain Pens, and it seems to me, that they 'r of different softiness, but it's only my opinion!

This one complements a dark orange shirt. February 9, 2013
Reviewer: Rob Hoover from Lees Summit, MO United States
Beautiful color!  Very rich orange /amber. Love all of the Noodlers' pens.  For a slender pen, the Creaper flex pens have a very nice feel.  I don't even mind that "new" smell that comes with the Noodlers' pens.  It goes away quickly with use.  And if you buy from Brian and Rachel, you get the fabulous Goulet service.

love it! August 13, 2012

my first flex pen... I actually like the smell of it.. reminds of the ink bottles I used to buy in my childhood.. the pen is worth the money. but don't expect too much from a 14$ pen.. and always remember that flex writing requires a lot of practice.if you are willing to put time to it, it's a wonderful pen.
