Edison Quality and Aesthetics---Check! March 25, 2013
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from The Heart of Virginia
A gorgeous olive green with corresponding rodium clip and #6 nib. Nothing flashy. Just understated elegance. Fill it up with Private Reserve's Avacado and the experience is perfect. Even posted, the Hudson is nicely balanced--not too back heavy, which is a pleasant surprise. Thank you, Brian Gray, for your work--and to Brian and Rachel Goulet for carrying your lovely and beautifully performing pens. Now, I can start saving for the same model in glossy black!

Edison Hudson Fountain Pen - Emerald February 5, 2013
Reviewer: Rebecca West from Baltimore, MD United States
I have a new favorite pen! I've been thinking about this pen for a while and reading up on it. Finally breaking down to buy it I wonder why I waited so long. It's a smooth writer, nice heft, and looks fantastic. In a word - Wow!

Well, it's good, of course. December 9, 2012
Reviewer: MP from Connecticut
I got this in the emerald with a medium steel nib. It's quietly attractive, with the subtle shading of the plastic, and the interesting shape of the clip.  It's a smooth enough writer, too, although it's a slow starter if you let it go a couple of days without using it.  Maybe if I clean it more thoroughly, try a different ink...

It's not really a better writer than a couple of other pens of mine with similar nibs, and equal or better ink capacity, that cost me considerably less.  So I guess I paid an extra $50 to $100 for a small increment in prettiness.  Well, fountain pen people do that sometimes.

Emerald pen more like olive; not a great writer September 27, 2012
Reviewer: Jessica Nickelsen from Wellington, Wellington New Zealand
I know the Edison Hudson has a large number of fans, but when mine arrived I admit I was a bit disappointed by the first glimpse. Rather than the sparkling bright green of the pictures on the website, the pen in front of me was more of a drab olive, that really didn't ring my bells at all.

Furthermore, while I found the nib to definitely be a smooth writer, after the first writing session I found that the next day the pen seemed to have some flow issues and was pretty dry getting started.

I also found the pen pretty heavy to write with, and unwieldy after my experience with lighter pens like the Lamy 2000 and Parker Junior.

I wound up trading this pen away on a local site, and can't say the experience has made me much of a fan.

Awesome pen. Reliable, no issues whatsoever.

I'm going to be picking up more Eddy pens in the future, for sure.
