Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps Ink Where It Should Be After watching a video on how to convert an appropriate fountain pen to an eye dropper, I decided this was something I wanted to do. Since the two Preppy pens I ordered for this purpose still have cartridge ink to be used up first, I decided to turn one of my Kaweco Classic pens into an eye dropper. I used the silicone grease on the threads and the seal has worked wonderfully well. Not even the tiniest smidgen of ink leaks out. Silicone grease is indispensable in keeping the ink where it should be. Although the container is small, since only the smallest amount is needed, I figure I have enough on hand to make literally hundred of eye droppers if I so desire (which, by the way, I don't).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eye-dropper is the way to go for journals As an English teacher of middle and high school students, one of the hardest things to teach today is hand writing. Composition may be fast on the computer... but it is dependent on too many things- power, a device, and a place to use it that is safe... journaling, instead, is a method of students practicing the capture of thought... And since, in my state, handwriting isn't given much time anymore, getting students to journal is pulling teeth. However- unique writing implements intrigue many... and an eye-dropper fill permits me to pass about a pen for experimentation all day long. The Goulet Silicone Grease keeps the pens from making a mess. I am thrilled with the potential of expanding my 'demonstrators' to incorporate different nibs, different ink colors or types to entice young writers to keep pens moving on pages all their lives.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's Plenty I had tried to find some locally, but most of it is white and rather dense, almost caulk-like in consistency. The GPC grease is super pure and very silky, more like vasoline in consistency. I was also worried that it was a rather small quantity. The amount of grease you actually use, per pen, is incredibly small. The container they provide will easily keep 20 daily use pens slick and clean for well over a year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what it says on the tin It's simply good-quality silicone grease. Used it on an older piston-filler of mine and it works like a dream now. Also used a near-microscopic amount of it to grease the pistons on a couple sticky, hard-to-turn cartridge-converters and that fixed them up great. Saved me from having to buy new ones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty slick grease I use this silicone grease to increase the suction of my fountain pen converters by disassembling the converter housing and applying a minute amount of silicone grease to the rubber gasket at the end of the plunger. That increases the pressure, stopping air leakage, as I fill the converter with ink. For a couple of bucks, I'll have enough silicone grease to last me many years. It's good to have in the toolbox.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely worth it I tried to get my own silicone grease in a hobby store before and just couldn't find this exact same type. There are many types of silicone grease used for all kinds of things and you don't want to risk getting the wrong one. This is a must own for eyedropper conversions and this is the most convenient way to get it. It works perfectly as is an ample amount that will probably last me years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Grease! If you're into serious pen maintenance, or perhaps have a pen that can handle the eyedropper alternative, then the Goulet Grease is a must have.. works great and is the right size for your fountain pen kit (I don't fish but I imagine it's like having a tackle box!). Goulet makes it easy, and, they teach you how to use the stuff most effectively.. an outstanding company!
