Decent Red March 17, 2012
Reviewer: P. H. Dublin from Houston, TX United States
Pens: Noodler Ahab Flex, Padrino Tech
Paper: Rhodia Webbie

This ended up being a very pleasant ink to write with. I tried it first with the Noodler Ahab but received nothing but grief. Upon switching to the Padrino, it was a wonder to write with.

Color: Definitely a red. The redness seems to depend entirely on how flexible the nib is as it layers itself back over. It is easy on the eyes. An interesting property of the ink is that it seems to age. When left in a pen that is not being written with for a few days then written with, the initial ink delivered is much darker than the actual color it is.

Flow: In the Ahab, once started it was okay. The Padrino had zero issues.

Dry Time: Fairly expedient for me. I could write without fear of smudging.

Feathering/Echo/Bleed Through: The Ahab gave the ink some echo and feathering. The Padrino wrote perfectly.

On the whole, this ink could become a regular but not an everyday ink.

I like other reds better October 24, 2011
Reviewer: Mike Holaday from Grand Rapids, Michigan
I tested this against Diamine's Classic Red and Sheaffer's Red and liked both of those better. This looks insipid and orangey by comparison. For me, there's no point in a slightly pale, off-red red. Hence my rating.
