Clairefontaine 3.5 x 5.5 Staplebound Duo March 15, 2012
Reviewer: Skip Johnson from LECANTO, FL United States
Purchased these "little" notebooks to carry with me to make journal notes. Dedicated one to a ski journal. Simple to carry and use. The paper is a dream (lined) to write on and lays relatively flat in the staple bound format. The second one has not been used yet but I plan to keep it in the car to make notes during my travels. FYI: there is a stamped Clairefontaine logo on the front of each of the notebooks. Pay attention to them to begin using it. I wrote a couple of pages "in the back' of the book before realizing I was doing so. Made a NB in the beginning (front) when I realized it and all is good. Great notetaking size and highly recommended.

Best All Around! February 10, 2012
Reviewer: Mitchell Billings from Swamps of Louisiana
I use the Unplugged journals in my leather Heirloom Shaving Leather cover...takes 2 at a time. I'm a "little journal nut."  Use all kinds and I find this perfect because it lies FLAT!!  I hate having to write 4/5 of the line on a back page!  Not on the Unplugged.
Also has a durable cover to put in the back pants pocket.  I use it this way, by itself, on motorcycle trips.
This, and a Stipula Passaporto in the front pocket filled with Baystate Blue and I'm ready to write!
I tried a new Lime colored Moleskine cover journal as one of the 2 in my leather filler, and was quickly disappointed by the paper bleeding with my medium nibs.
The Unplugged doesn't bleed for me, even with wet broad nibs.

Paper May Be A Problem May 5, 2011
Reviewer: Tony Belding from Hamilton, TX United States
Normally I love this Clairefontaine paper, when I'm writing at my desk.  I don't think it's a good match for a pocket notebook.  These books are about twice as thick as Field Notes, even though having the same number of pages!  Worse, most inks are very slow to dry on this paper.  When you jot down a note, you have to wait. . .   and wait. . .  before you can close it without creating an inadvertent Rorschach test.

Basic Clairefontaine Life. Unplugged Staplebound D March 25, 2011
Reviewer: Stacy Hills from Reston, VA United States
+ Perfect 90 g/m^3 Clairfontaine paper. The best I've found for fountain pens.
+ Sturdy and good looking - subtle - cover.
+ Plenty of pages.

- Wide ruled. I'd give it a 5 and buy a case of these if they had 5 mm grids or, better yet, 5 mm dots.
