60ml bottle of Platinum Pigmented Sepia fountain pen ink. Platinum Sepia Pigment Ink is pigmented in order to improve its water-resisting property, light stability and heat-resisting qualities, while other inks might be illusive water-based dyes. Sepia Pigment Ink is thus suitable for important documents requiring archival qualities. This ink has many fine art applications, but many users enjoy its performance in fountain pens.

Not a wimpy brown for me September 13, 2012
Reviewer: Leigh from Ozark hills of Arkansas
Platinum Carbon is my standard ink, so I was interested in the Sepia.  It's a solid performer for me--waterproof on most papers when I let it dry, and a nice ink for sketching in my Namiki Falcon.  (Noodler's #41 will lift and wash from many sized papers when I brush it later with water, for instance.)

I haven't found it to be too pale, but my Namiki can lay down a thicker line and more ink.  The ink looks especially nice on cream and ivory papers.  My conclusion:  it's a nice, modest brown ink that behaves very nicely in my pens, and it great for using under watercolors.

I love this stuff December 19, 2011
Reviewer: Elizabeth Porter from Lethbridge, AB Canada
A little paler than I hoped for from a sepia, but a nice neutral brown that is a pleasure to use - super smooth coming from a pen - and wonderful to lay watercolour over. I was a little hesitant at first because of the paleness, but I was quickly won over once I started using it.

Still experimenting with this ink, works nicely with Noodler's Ball pen and Noodler's Flex.

Rosy but great October 21, 2011
Reviewer: Fabiana Boiman from S‹o Paulo, Brazil
This sepia color is a bit on the rose side, but I like it a lot. Just like the Platinum Carbon Black, this ink is very good to draw with. It will lift a tiny bit, but not much, when using with watercolor washes. It's a nice color to draw with.

A wonderfully well behaved and polite ink August 31, 2011
Reviewer: H. Doug Matsuoka from Honolulu, HI United States
This is the third Platinum pigmented ink I?ve tried.  First Carbon Black, then Pigement Blue.  The one surprising thing about all these waterproof inks is how well behaved they are.  I was half way expecting a "pigment" ink to be somewhat thick and high maintenance.  Would I have to rinse it out often to keep the feed from clogging?  No such thing.  The leave no sediment in the bottle and flow very consistently in a variety of pens.

Like Pigment Blue, this ink shades well.  Nice color.  It leaves my off white paper looking a bit like the historic manuscripts I see in historic manuscripts.  It?s a friendly, dignified, hue, if anything perhaps a bit too "polite."

My own refill database records show me a enthusiastic user of brown inks.  I?ll definitely be ordering more Platinum Pigment Brun Sepia.
