A very nice pen to spend some money on May 1, 2013
Reviewer: Edu Almeida from Brazil
When I took the pen off the box, I immediately thought: "Does it cost only that amount of money?" The packaging is decent, the weight is good, the metal body makes it  consistent. The nib is a bit fine for a medium size, but it usually happens with japanese pens. Even though it's fine, the nib writes smoothly. I don't like the converter that much, but anyway the Metropolitan is a very nice pen for everyday use.

Excellent less expensive pen April 10, 2013

I only wish it came in a finer nib.  It has heft to it and is juicy.

Pilot must be losing money March 16, 2013
Reviewer: Conor Smith from ND, United States
This pen is fantastic. How they sell it for the price I do not understand. It writes smoothly, looks nice, cleans up well, and has a nice weight. It is everything I would want in a pen for $50 but it costs so much less. If you're new to pens and ink, or just want a nice pen to impress the rubes when signing your million-dollar contracts (which you saved for by not spending too much on pens), this is exactly what you want.

HQ Gem by Pilot March 13, 2013
Reviewer: Rob C. from Green Bay, WI United States
Pilot must be going broke selling this pen. It is made with quality that rivals that of much more expensive pens. A must have pen for enthusiasts, collectors, and first-timer buyers. The Goulet video review is dead on with its analysis of the amazing features this pen packs. The difference with all good pens, is the feel and grip of the pen in your hand and this baby is a Cadillac. It's got a balanced hefty weight and the superb quality for it to compete with the expensive bunch. The cap locks well and so far it does not damage the exterior of the pen. I'm not sure whether the exterior is painted or not but it's solid against any nicks and scratches that it could have taken from daily use in college.

Solid Everyday Writer March 11, 2013
Reviewer: David from Coral Springs, FL United States
Exceptional value and a nice writer.  I also purchased an extra Pilot Converter on an impulse because it was an option at checkout.  I like it because it has a built in agitator so the ink seems to always flow even when the pen is out of rotation.  The squeeze converter the pen comes with holds more ink.  Probably would not buy the extra converter if I had to do it over.  I like the pen a great deal!
