BEST PEN EVER October 27, 2014
Reviewer: Shan Reddy from Las Vegas, NV United States
This was my first pen, and I still use it more than any other pen in my collection. Through tens of different inks, through dropping the pen on the nib accidentally, to losing the converter, the pen has remained my steadfast companion through my high school years, writing smoothly, and still providing a classic fountain-pen feel. The Pilot medium nib is my favorite nib, not to fine, not too broad. I now have four Metropolitans, each better than the next. So reliable, so durable. Phenomenal pen. I have nothing bad to say about it.

Bought it for spare parts, realized it's too good! October 17, 2014
Reviewer: Jay Karlson from Arlington, TX United States
I bought a $70 Pilot Prera at a brick-and-mortar store in Dallas, and the nib never worked right. I changed jobs and never get back there anymore. I looked for replacement nibs and the only solution I heard of was 'buy a Metropolitan and use that nib, because there are no spare Prera nibs."

So I bought a Metropolitan as a jalopy-- I was going to part it out and use the nib on a Prera that was 4X the cost.

But when I received the Metropolitan, I found that it was the better pen. I may get another Metropolitan to salvage the Prera, but I may have the same reaction when I receive that Metropolitan, too.

The Metropolitan is that good.

Leaking pen October 2, 2014
Reviewer: Marren Kingsford from San Diego, CA United States
I have been traveling the last few days. Don't know if that is doing it or not, but the pen is leaking. Doesn't appear to be leaking, but grab the pen and fingers are covered on with ink. Didn't do this before I hit the road, but now gun shy writing with the pen. It does write smooth and love the feel and look. Is there any way to figure out why the pen is leaking? No evidence of leaking anywhere. I am stumped.
