An Instant Favorite September 17, 2014
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from NJ United States
The ink performs flawlessly, which is expected given the price.  That is, no bleedthrough, no feathering, quick dry time, good flow and lubrication on almost all papers and in all the pens I've tried it in.

The color is beautiful and calming. Within one week of owning this ink and using it daily, I received three separate comments, unsolicited, about it being a beautiful color.  People notice this ink.

I normally use Lamy EF-sized nibs but I've had best results with this ink in a Lamy F.  The slightly larger nib gives the ink a nicer level of saturation, which displays the ink's warm tones better.

Soft and subtle like gently falling rain! September 1, 2014
Reviewer: Sue James from Ferntree Gully, Victoria Australia
I would have said this is not an everyday ink ... except for the fact that I've been using it every day in my journal! It's a lovely soft, cloudy grey, with subtle shading from dark to light grey as I write. A bit like Iroshizuku Yama-Budo in that it dries to a more uniform colour which isn't quite as exciting as the gorgeous shading it gives as it goes onto the paper. But a very smooth writing experience that I'm very much enjoying!

Apica Notebooks (spiral bound) June 11, 2014
Reviewer: Laurel Maury from Annapolis, MD United States
The ink is wonderful. It's replacing my Noodler's 54th Massachusett's Blue as my go-to ink. Lovely in both my Stargazer and my Lamy (both fine nibs, though the Stargazer is closer to a medium.) On Tamoe River paper, it's incredible, like finely-shaded pencil. This will not be my last bottle. (If it goes out of production, I will cry.)

Great customer service, but then it's always great with you guys. Plus you wrap like you're recreating Fort Knox with blue cellophane.

A lovely ink May 1, 2014
Reviewer: Mike from Texas
I'm impressed with this ink. I'd been wanting a grey ink, but generally find them to be too light or too dark or too blue, or looking too much like a "light black" ink. When I looked at the Swab Shop gray comparison page, however, the lovely warm grey of the Kiri-Same (actually means "misty rain") stood out to me. It's a pricey ink, but I was looking to treat myself to something really nice, so I took a chance and ordered a bottle. I'm NOT disappointed. The color on paper (both bright white, and cream) is simply beautiful, and the shading with the 1.1mm Lamy nib is impressive. I was very happy to discover, too, that this ink, while not waterproof, is quite resistant water.

This is definitely a premium-priced ink, but it delivers a well-rounded set of premium qualities. It's well worth a look the next time you want to treat yourself to something really nice.

Fascinating Color April 16, 2014
Reviewer: Ryan Gilbert from BELLEFONTAINE, OH United States
Really, this color has far more character than I expected!  In fines and extra-fines, it really resembles pencil.  In italic or flex nibs, it has lovely shading.  In very wet nibs, it is quite dark--in dry pens, it is quite light.  It's well-behaved in all of them too.  A staple I'm glad to have added.
