Wish it held more Ink... September 15, 2014

I use 2 of these in Pilot Parallel Pens.  They are reliable and work well.  Wish they held a bit more Ink, especially in the 6.0mm Nib...

It works! September 12, 2014

It's a converter! It works! Though I wish it snapped in to place more securely, but hey I can fill it with ink, put it in a pen, and write!

Pilot CON-50 Converter September 11, 2014
Reviewer: KenFritz from Midlothian, VA United States
It works great - now!  I'm new to the fountain pen world and missed the part where you should  flush out the pen (or converter) before using it.  I inked up my pen with the converter and was disappointed when it was skipping on me.  Flushed it out well and now there is no problem.  I love it now.

No leaks, good converter September 11, 2014

If this converter came without the agitator it would rank one more star. The agitator is an accurate description, since the clicking sound is loud enough to bug you when you are writing. The agitator also takes up the already limited amount of room for ink.

What can I say? August 31, 2014

If you're a Pilot fountain pen fan, you've probably got a whole passel of these. They work great, last a long time*, and fit and work in all my Pilot pens (Metros, Cocoons, Preras, Vortexes..). And maybe it's the inks I use (Pilot Iroshizuku, Diamine, J. Herbin, Aurora, et al.) but I've never had one "stain up" on me--they clean right up with ordinary water usually. As probably with ALL piston-type converters, if you're CHANGING TO A NEW INK (or color), it takes a little extra effort to get the last bit of ink out--which'll be on/around/BEHIND the little sliding piston.

Of course, with the cheaper rubber squeeze-bulb type (CON-20) converter you'll never have that problem.

Biggest plus? GOULET USUALLY HAS THE BEST PRICE ON CON-50s! I've seen them for up to $14 (on Amazon), and $8-10 is not unusual.

*I've had exactly ONE CON-50 eventually fail on me, of maybe the two dozen I own.
