The Nib Creaper (also known as the "Standard Flex Pen") was the first fountain pen produced by Noodler's, introduced in 2010, and is Noodler's smallest and slimmest fountain pen. It features a steel flexible #2 nib and a twist piston mechanism. A small ink window shows how much ink is left in your pen. These pens are made from a celluloid derivative.

The Noodler’s flex pens were designed for the hands-on tinkerer - they are made to be taken apart and adjusted. The nib and feed pull right out and can be adjusted for optimal performance. Don’t be afraid to get a little ink on your fingers while you learn how to use this pen.

As a simple rule of thumb for writing with a flex pen, just apply slight pressure on your downstrokes, which will spread the tines and increase the line width, achieving that optimal line variation. Make sure to go slowly so that the ink can keep up with your writing. As with any flex pen, it just takes practice!

Due to the residual machining oils used when cutting the feeds for these pens, we highly encourage you to give the pen a good flush before use. We recommend any of the following options: distilled water, water with a touch of dish soap, a pre-packaged pen flush, or a solution of 10% clear ammonia to water. This should resolve most ink flow issues!

We ship all of our packages through the United States Postal Service (USPS). We've found their rates to be the best value. Simply add the items you want into your cart, and you'll be given shipping options and prices. Most orders are able to ship the same or next business day.

Shipping within the US:

First-Class Mail is available for very lightweight packages (several ounces) and may not be available if your total order weight exceeds the maximum allowed. Cost is usually $3-5, depending on the total order weight, and usually takes 2-5 business days to arrive.

Priority Mail is used for the majority of our packages and usually takes 1-3 business days to arrive. We charge a flat rate of $5.95-$7.95, depending on your location. You can also add additional services such as insurance and signature confirmation. We also offer FREE Priority shipping for APO addresses.

Express Mail is essentially 'next-business day' delivery and helpful when you're in a hurry. Overall cost usually starts around $30 and increases based on the total order weight and your location.

We include free delivery confirmation in all packages; you'll receive your tracking number via email as soon as your order ships.

Shipping outside the U.S.:

First-Class Mail is available for lightweight packages (under several pounds) up to $300 in value and may not be available if your total order weight exceeds the maximum allowed. The cost varies - it usually starts around $7-10 and depends on the total order weight and your country. This is the cheapest option, but can take up to several weeks to arrive and tracking isn't available.

Priority Mail is available for any weight of package, up to $300 in value. This has some limited tracking and usually takes about 1-3 weeks to arrive. Cost usually starts around $30 and is based on the total order weight and your country.

Express Mail is used for any package over $300 or for anyone wishing to receive their package in under a week. Cost usually starts around $40 and is based on the total order weight and your country. While the most expensive, we recommend this option as it offers full tracking and is the most reliable.

We ship to nearly all countries, with a few exceptions as outlined on our FAQs page.

Please note that the recipient is responsible for paying any applicable duties or taxes on the received products, regardless of the shipping method. We don't unlawfully mark packages as gifts, and we're not willing to lie about the value on the package. All contents will be stated on the outside of the package as part of the customs form. Please refer to your country's regulations for additional information on customs.


Please email us at orders@gouletpens.com to initiate a return. You must contact us within 30 days of receiving your package to be eligible for any kind of refund or exchange. Original shipping charges won't be reimbursed.

To receive a full refund of the original purchase price, the product must be received to us in new, unused, and re-sellable condition, and must include all original packaging.

If you have used a pen and still want to return it, that's no problem - we'll assess the condition upon receipt to determine how much of a credit we can offer to you. Please flush out the pen prior to shipping it back to us (trust us, receiving a pen full of ink can be very messy!), and be sure to pack the pen well to avoid any damage in transit.

We're really sorry, but no refunds/exchanges can be issued for any used bottled ink, ink cartridges, ink samples, sealing wax sticks, or written-in notebooks or stationery. You may want to consider selling or trading your used items on forums like the Fountain Pen Network.

We also can't accept returns for any of our Closeout or Bottom Shelf items.

For our U.S. customers:

If you're returning something because of our mistake (we sent the wrong thing, or the item was defective or damaged), then we'll refund you or exchange it and send you a prepaid shipping label for the returned item. If you want to return the item for any other reason, then you'll be responsible for paying the return shipping to our warehouse.

For our international customers:

Unfortunately, we can't provide reimbursement for any return shipping outside the U.S. If we messed up and you received a damaged/defective product, then of course we will work with you to apply an appropriate refund or credit. Just let us know!
